Our initial reception was pleasant , but rushed .We were given a welcome drink , but given no time to drink it ! .We were summoned to move to our room , but our dialogue with the receptionist was very limited due to her poor understanding of the English language .Our room was lovely , just as described on website .The only problem we had was that we couldn’t close the bifold doors .We asked reception for help , but they (or the cleaner ) couldn’t do so .They managed to get a maintenance guy to come and show us , but it didn’t occur to them to watch his tutorial .Even after this instruction , we still struggled .The receptionist said they had ordered a spare part for the door .I looked up the doors instructions on the internet and eventually we managed to master them .We were half board ; the breakfast was ok .Our evening meal came from a set menu ( not given out till 5pm ).I found it very limited , so we decided to ask if we could take a lunch instead of dinner .Initially the staff were a little hesitant in allowing this , but to be fair they quickly came around to doing so . The staff all seemed very new , so We had to give them a chance .On day three we had a leak in our ceiling .This is were the hotel management really upped their game .They moved us to a lovely room with a swim up pool (explaining we could stay there for four nights ) they were very apologetic for our inconvenience ) .We loved this upgrade .Many people moan on this site re hotel transport and it’s limited service , HOWEVER the owner Alex used to ferry people in his own car down to Parga . ( A lovely kind fellow ).Parga itself is a delightful place . Overall I would say it’s a lovely hotel .Once the new staff have ‘bedded in ‘ it will function effectively.Penny ( bar services) was lovely ++.
