Borgo Delle Pietre

We absolutely loved this oasis in the farmlands of Agrigento! Owners Mara and Dominic have transformed this farmhouse that they purchased in 2019 into a beautiful rustically elegant, seven-room charming inn that serves up wonderful breakfasts and delicious menus for dinner. Mara’s background in the hospitality industry is evident throughout this property, from thoughtful touches in the rooms to tastefully designed public spaces that make you want to just unpack your bags permanently. We had our own little rustic courtyard where we were visited daily by mother cat and her four kittens, and really enjoyed reading in one of the many relaxing spots on the property. We loved the serene comfort here, the relative remoteness of it, the accessibility to everything we wanted to see. Coming back to Borgo delle Pietre after a day of sightseeing was one of the highlights of our days in Agrigento.

Fantastic small country Baglio near(ish) to the Valley of the Temples. Beautifully and tastefully restored and decorated throughout. Each of the 8 rooms are lovely and have their oen small outdoor seating area. Great pool. Amazing breakfast with local produce. Set dinner option. Super friendly owners and staff

Stayed at Borgo delle Pietre for three days as we visited Valley of the Temples and visited some local wineries. The owners and the staff are incredible with excellent customer service. Our room was in great conditional with a large bedroom area, bathroom and nice private patio off the room. We had breakfast and dinner on property three times and found the service, selection and quality outstanding. At dinner each night Mark waited on us and did a great job. Very peaceful location and we recommend Borgo delle Pietre for your stay in the area.

We stayed here while we were attending our niece's wedding nearby, Mara and Domenico have created an amazing place. Borgo delle Pietre has been tastefully renovated, simply with wood and stone to a very high standard and with fantastic attention to detail. We had a large room and bathroom, impeccably clean and plenty big enough for the 3 of us. The room lacked nothing. It included a hair drier, kettle, fridge and an outside seating area. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. Thank you to Mara, Domenico, Shaila, Laura and Marc for looking after us so well. The breakfast was high quality, with delicious coffee and fresh orange juice and served in a lovely dining area. At relatively short notice, Mara put on a pasta lunch for us. Sicilian pasta dish with Sicilian wine at a beautifully set up outside table, one of the highlights of my holiday. It's definitely off the beaten track, but to us, that just aded to it's charm. We'd definitely recommend a stay here. It's a place that deserves to be successful. Grazie.

We were looking for a hotel were to spend a few days and found this place by ‘accident’. Pictures looked great and we decided to book and it was the best decision.! Domenico, Mara and the rest of the team are perfect hosts. The rooms and the entire property are just amazing. We will be back!

The Borgo delle Pietre is this beautiful small hotel that is run by the most accommodating and wonderful hosts Mara and Domenico. As you drive up this short drive up the hill you are greeted by the hosts who swiftly take your bags away and greet you warmly. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and well designed and large bathrooms with great water pressure. The rooms have smart televisions with English language programming and NETFLIX for free. Each room is different and have stone walls and beamed ceilings and some have outdoor space as well. This is a part of Sicily that is often overlooked- the Valley of the Temples, a unesco world heritage site is close by and the sea and the beaches are some of the best in Sicily. The spectacular Scala dei Turchi is a few minutes away and some very nice beach clubs with chairs and umbrellas are also available. We also visited the PLANETA vineyards during our stay which is less than an hour away. If you decide to leave the hotel during the day- you can come back to a relaxing pool and cocktails..The complimentary breakfast is stocked with amazing fruit, cheeses and cakes as well as coffee . The dinner offers you some of the best Sicilian cuisine we have had on the island. The Chef comes out after dinner to chat with the guests and is quite lovely. In fact the entire staff was engaging and professional throughout our stay. The value is amazing as a similar property in some of the tourist areas would be thrice as much. Mara and Domenico have established a fine property and we were so happy to spend time with them and their daughter Sara while enjoying this often overlooked part of SICILY
