Airlie Guest House

Lovely accommodation, away from the night time noise of central Airlie Beach. Great facilities, with a communal kitchen. Lovely veranda to sit out on, and be visited by cockatoos! Mark was helpful in booking tours in advance - highly recommend Red Cat Whitsundays day tour. Ryan and Lydia looked after us wel, and b friendly.

I have just stayed here this week and you cannot fault it. It is so beautiful here, it really feels like a home away from home, the rooms are impeccable and mine even had a little balcony with a swing chair. Mick and his team are so welcoming and really take the time to make sure you get the best out of Airlie Beach. Talking to other travelers is great - you never know who you’re going to meet. So quiet and peaceful to guarantee a good nights sleep. Highly recommend staying here.

We are on a two month tour of Australia and have stayed a lot of different places but our stay at the Airlie Guest house is up at the top of the list for good decisions on places to stay. Right from our arrival and meeting Mick the owner and operator of this guest house I knew it was going to be a great stay. The property was absolutely first class. Luxurious finishes to the guest house and grounds. They put a lot of pride into their guest house and its operation. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed and good quality linens. The common areas were extensive and although you could say hi to the other guest you are not on top of each other as there are many different areas to relax. They provide a continental breakfast with toast (jams, PB, even vegemite sampler), coffee, selection of cereals, yogurt, milk and juice. On the second day we were even treated to some home made fruit cake. This really is a special place run by special people. Mick was so informative about things to do in the area. Our only regret was we had not planned to be there longer.

Stayed at Mick and Megan’s place. They are the most charming and accommodating hosts. Their accomodation is simply stunning. Airlie Beach itself is fantastic and the accommodation is located within a few minutes of everything. Do yourself a favour and stay here!!!

The location is stunning, offering a breathtaking view, and conveniently close to town. The house is impeccably clean and well organised. Mick provided valuable assistance with various local options and tours. I highly recommend this place!!.

Wow did I hit the jackpot when I stayed here. Absolutely amazing. Everything is simply fabulous - clean, welcoming, very friendly. Mick was so kind and we had great chats about the cricket, the native wildlife and local attractions. I felt incredibly relaxed and very safe. Only a few minutes from the main drag but far enough away to avoid the sounds but with a magnificent view looking out over the town and sea. A couple of friendly cockatoos to boot. I felt truly blessed as it had everything I wanted and more. Breakfast was delicious with a view to die for and oh so very clean. I will be back in 2025/6 supporting the Barmy Army and riding high on England’s performance on the pitch!

This is hands down one of the best places my husband and I have ever stayed. Mick is the most incredible host and was so welcoming from the beginning. My husbands bag was lost with the airline and he was so helpful, letting us use his phone to contact them so that we didn’t incur charges using our phone abroad. He couldn’t do enough for us. Mick’s fresh baking each morning was delicious - especially the banana and chocolate chip muffins! (Best I’ve ever had). We had access to a lovely continental breakfast each morning which we greatly appreciated. The cooking facilities are great and you get your own fridge space to store groceries. We really enjoyed the opportunity to make a nice home cooked meal instead of eating out most nights. The kitchen and balcony also made for a nice social area and we often ended up cooking a meal and chatting with the other guests. The rooms are nice and spacious and the beds are super comfy. The shower facilities are great, we got our own private shower room and had a shared toilet but this did not matter to us. The toilet was kept incredibly clean and it wasn’t shared between many other people. During our stay we even spent a few days relaxing at the guest house in the garden as the view is so beautiful and the lounging equipment so comfy. We would definitely recommend Airlie Guest House to anyone visiting the area. If we return to Airlie in the future we will book with Mick.

We had a great stay at Airlie Guest House over Christmas. Everything was spotless, the kitchens are really well equipped (preparing a Christmas dinner was no problem) and the knives are sharp (not the usual shared kitchen serrated edges here!), the position and the views are great and Mick can't do enough to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible. Highly recommend it and will stay there again when we next visit our daughter.

Would not recommend because customer unfriendly. They didn’t refund my money even they knew that it wasn’t possible for me to head there because of a big natural disaster of cyclon Jasper. Even I contacted them days before, they just took my money and respond to cancel the room. So they took my money plus got the room free to give it to someone’s double maybe. Plus I couldn’t give a negative Feedback on Booking because i canceled the accommodation. Alle agencys in Airlie refund m payment because of the situation, just this Guest House didn’t. Never again.
