Albufeira Sol Hotel & Spa

À primeira vista, melhor do que esperava, no entanto, com o decorrer da estadia encontramos pontos negativos: o tempo de espera na recepção é de loucos, parece um serviço público português. Não é admissível que com tantos hóspedes haja apenas uma pessoa a atender de cada vez... O jacuzzi do hotel, que está incluído no preço, tem a água gelada e so fumcionam 2 saídas de ar. Logo, é quase impossível la estar. Bonito mas sem utilidade... No SPA que é pago, há tb aspetos a melhorar por isso mesmo, porque ao ser pago e dentro de um 4 estrelas, não pode ter portas a arrastar pelo chão, por exemplo, como tem no wc das mulheres. Tb existem portas de segurança que não abrem nas barras o que é muito estranho e mais estranho ainda é não haver equipamento de segurança na cozinha como extintor ou manta uma vez que tem fogão. No entanto, a remodelação foi bem conseguida e espero que estes aspectos sejam rapidamente melhorados porque queria regressar ao hotel.

Booked via Love Holiday for 6 of us, we stayed in 2 self catering apartments for 4 nights. Overall an okay hotel, staff were nice and attentive, well located with Aldi only a 10min walk away and lots of amenities on site. I would say the apartments were fit for purpose but not overwhelmingly nice, just okay. Towels replaced daily and apartments cleaned. They do take a €100 deposit per room payable by card or cash. Also be aware spa is NOT INCLUDED and needs to be booked on the day for €7.50 which was a real shame as we thought this came with the hotel. Breakfast buffet was €10 and was okay, again not the best but did the job. The indoor pool was good and heated and we spent every day using this pool. Lots of space to sit and relax around the hotel which we utilised. Also note that the free shuttle service to the old town only runs in summer but they can order taxis for you instead which we did. I would say overall it does the job but if I were to visit Portugal again I would not book this hotel personally

Went for Easter at the end of March. Arrived around 11am room typically not ready until 4 but they made sure our room was ready earlier. The room was large and spacious although I believe we were the first to use it as it was a bit stale at first. We had an issue with the window that was mentioned at reception and fixed that day. All the staff made a fuss of our daughter even though she got embarrassed by it. Food was great, always something to eat. Yes they reuse food but I’d rather that than waste it. Bus down to town was brilliant but doesn’t run on Fridays but the train is only a street away. Indoor pool was great on a rainy day. Would definitely come back. No issues.

I was so excited to be back to Albufeira, only to visit Albufeira Sol for the second time. But it wasn’t as expected. Reception got some improvements since my last stay in 2019, and it looks nice and fresh. I can say that the food is a little better than last time, but that’s all. Everything else got a downgrade. There was this lady in the reception, who was really rude to me and my fiancé, called Sollage. The staff is not cherish as it used to be. And we’ve noticed that the biggest difference comes from the animation team. Leo was very sweet, but in general, the entertainment wasn’t good as it used to be. After 2 nights we’ve decided to spend our nights out, cause there’s no entertainment for adults or any kind of shows, only kids discos. Not a holiday that we want to repeat.

The hotel was spotless and the room was (suit) was of a good size .. The Animation team were absolutely amazing!! With the stand out characters being Juan(Jonny) and Alice they really made our stay right up there with the best ever for entertainment!! We joined in with activities and Club dancing which were the highlight of the day they danced and took part with such enthusiasm it was contagious!! Well done team you are all one in a million ❤️❤️❤️

Friend and I stayed here all inclusive for 3 nights while visiting Albufeira. Would definitely recommend as we got the relaxing few days we wanted. Highlights: The desserts at lunch and dinner were the best ever we have had at all inclusive. Great classes throughout the day particularly from dancer Leonardo Dantas. Recommend his stretching classes!

Overall, a decent all-inclusive experience. Clean rooms, but service declined over time. Entertainment staff great, but bar/reception staff slow and unhelpful. Good food, but repetitive. Location excellent. Unlikely to return without improvements.

Pros - very clean , comfortable rooms , entertainment for kids in the day was good , food was ok , plenty sun beds Cons - not getting in your room till 4 pm when you arrive at the hotel at 11 am , Maids doing your room daily at 4/5 pm , Night entertainment is terrible , Indoor pool water was not clean , Serving spoons all mixed at serving point And not clear what was in the food Not great if you have an allergy ! Would not say this was a 4 star hotel More a 3 star But we booked it last min for a week of relaxation would not come back as our main holiday to this hotel . Weather was fantastic for April ☀️

If we take a look in general, it’s not bad, you know. The pool is quite enjoyable, the food isn’t the worst, and we have to say it’s spotless. But, on the other hand, if you take a clear look to what’s surrounding you… it’s a waste of money. The food should be 4 star as the bar drinks. Not to mention the animation team is poor, made by amateurs. The staff looks sad working. And it was an experience we don’t want to repeat.
