Logis Hôtel le Relais des Remparts

From the friendly welcome to our leaving the next day, everything seemed perfect. It's a two star logis, so relatively simple bedroom, but lovely view over some hills and the short side street, and impeccably clean and shower with a good flow (tall people might ask for a bigger room). We enjoyed apero on the pretty terrace - a local salers with cassis (a bit like a cynar,) worth a try and I had a pomme/chataigne "kir", really lovely. Sunny terrace with a view of hills. The dinner at 30 euros ( there were cheaper menus) was great value, enjoyed the homemade foie gras and salers filet steak, cheese and dessert. Wasn't crazy about the Gamay local wine, but they did give us the opportunity to taste and change if we wanted to, which is really unusual, but we were keen to drink local. Best, they were really sweet with trying to sort out accommodation and a snack for some bikers who turned up looking for a room at ten. All in all, hospitality and not just a place to overnight. I would love to stay here again, not least because the region is stunning. Loved it.

Gentil l'accueil par les propriétaires. La chambre très propre e calme avec vue sur verdure et les toits d'ardoise. Restaurant avec ambiance familiale. Foie gras, bœuf, fromage et crème brûlée très très bons. Allanche est un joli petit village. Rapport qualité prix exceptionnel.

Nous avons choisi cet hôtel pour randonner 3 jours dans le Cézallier. Une belle surprise, accueil parfait, chambre confortable et totalement refaite, il y a même un ascenseur, petit-déjeuner copieux, diner excellent, le tout à un prix raisonnable. Nous ne pouvions mieux tomber, je vous recommande le lieu.
