I am extremely disappointed with the treatment my son received at Residence Inn Orlando Altamonte/Springs/Maitland. Despite having a confirmed and paid for reservation, he was denied check-in because he was using my credit card for "incidentals". This left him stranded more than three hours away from home, with no assistance or alternatives offered by the hotel staff. As a frequent traveler, I know that hotels can accept a family member’s credit card, as I have done this before. I tried to work with the Manager to provide other methods for covering incidentals, but they refused to help, citing hotel policy. I emphasized that leaving a young man stranded in an unfamiliar place is very poor hotel policy. This level of customer service is completely unacceptable. The hotel showed a lack of empathy and flexibility, failing to accommodate a young traveler who had a confirmed reservation. I expected better from a reputable establishment and will not be recommending this hotel to anyone in the future.
