2樓的閣樓，很不錯，可以躺着看星星。外面就是湖，風景很好。

The room and hotel was better than expected, room was very clean, it was on its own away from hotel. The pub was very welcoming and the breakfast in a morning was superb, hot and cold food served and self service which I prefer. We was only staying one night and enjoyed it that much we rebooked for another night. Would highly recommend as I have been to a few hotels in Windermere and not been good but his is the best by far. We will sure be visiting again.

The room (which was supposed to be spacious) was SO SMALL that my we had to stoop to get around the bed and I am only five foot two, we had NO view in spite of the website saying we would, the room was up several flights of narrow, steep stairs. I booked a room with a king bed and got a small double 😡 The check in was unpleasant - the lady who checked us in was surly as were a few of the staff at breakfast. That being said the rest of the bar/ restaurant staff were lovely.

Claustrophobic, unfriendly, blocked drains , needed the Lakeland feel that I had been soo looking forward to. Been comming to Ambleside for our Anniversary for 25 year's and we always felt it to be so special. We were planning on stopping another night before we arrived but just couldn't stay here. We moved on to Grasmere and was lucky enough to find somewhere special and relaxing with the feeling of the Lakes. We will not be coming back to this Hotel and cannot recommend it to are many family and friends.

We have stayed at this hotel before when it was The Regent Hotel and there have been a few changes this year now it has been taken over by new owners. The room was basically the same but they have taken the shower out of the bathroom, and replaced the settee with a very uncomfortable sofa bed. The bathroom needs more places to put your stuff. There is only a very small shelf above the sink for toothbrushes and not much else. You need somewhere in the large bathroom for toiletries to be kept. There is plenty of space for them to put storage of some sort. We always book the same room, a wonderful room with a view on a private balcony. You have to go over the road to the pub for your breakfast which is fine but the food isn't as good as it was when it was the Regent who used to cook to order. Now you help yourself. We have already booked to go next year, it is still a great place to stay and we love Ambleside. You cannot beat the view, it is so well placed.

We used to stay here when it was the Regent Hotel, but this has all changed now. The Regent no longer exists , and has been fully converted to bedrooms, with main building being across the road “ The Wateredge Pub” rooms are good. However. …..We had booked in for 3 nights, but had to move on our second day as the electrics in the room were faulty. It was only after we moved that I realised it was one of the rooms where they allow dogs, and I could smell a doggy smell. I wasn’t going to move again - too much hassle. It’s a shame there is no longer a comfortable lounge to sit and read etc. only the pub across the road. Breakfast was fine.( included in our stay ). But the evening meal are very expensive in my opinion. £ 18 for chicken and a corn on the cob……..chips etc cost extra. £17 for a pork chop and sauce ."……..all veg extra at £4:50 per portion for EACH veg. Ridiculous! Staff are very friendly . Would I stay again ? probably not I’m afraid. But it was ok.

The Regent Hotel which we have been visiting for many years is no longer and is now named Wateredge Rooms connected to the Wateredge Hotel over the road. As usual we stayed four nights and the Breakfast experience on the first morning was one not to be repeated so we walked into Ambleside to other Cafes for the rest of our stay. There were only 8-10 people in the Breakfast area when we entered all Buffet type arrangements and certainly not inviting. Coffee and Toasting arrangements totally inadequate for large numbers and accidents will occur. I did complete the Inn Collection Survey and contacted them by email. The response was one of little interest and said they were "continuously training staff to be the best they can be". It wasn't a staff issue they were fine its the fact they have brought two Hotels together to reduce costs without any consideration to customer service. We certainly won't be returning.

After staying here several times previously we were very disappointed with the changes that have been made since the take over. A very firm bed and pillows which did not provide a very pleasant sleep. And we were looking forward to our usual service at breakfast but unfortunately it was now self service over the road at the wateredge inn.

The crowded and busy streets of Leamington Spa parade fall silent on entry to the serenity of The Regent Hotel. On entry we could feel a wonderful heat radiating from the reception desk. And there he was. A shining beacon of love and kindness, a true master of his craft and king of customer service: Anand. From the moment we saw him we knew we were safe under his wing. And I’d be lying if I said my jeans didn’t get a little tighter. He gave us our room key and helped us find somewhere to park before wishing us a pleasant stay and moving on to his next quest. The room was great. Heater squeaked a bit but it was also a damn good heater so I forgive it.
