I arrived at about 11 PM, so the hotel cafe was not open. Furthermore, there was nothing in the room fridge, i.e. the "minibar". So, I had to order from room service. I was surprised to find there was no wine listed on the menu. Coming from Kuwait I was looking forward to a glass of wine. On the phone, I asked room service if wine was available. He recommended that I get it from the minibar. I explained to him that there was nothing in the minibar. I resorted to ordering beer. I also ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad. Sadly what I got was a bowl of somewhat cut-up iceberg lettuce (instead of romaine) drowning in blue cheese dressing (instead of Ceasar)..I ate it anyway because I was so hungry but it really stood out as one of the worst meals of my life!
The location was a good for this visit but I do not plan a repeat.
On the bright side, the room was nice and was clean. I was able to figure out how to change the temperature to cool the room (though it was down to guesswork due to no labels explaining what to do). The maid was bright and cheery. The TV remote control stopped working and when I reported it the replacement came quickly. The hot water was excellent and the shower worked perfectly. I miss having a bathtub in a 5-star hotel but it seems bathtubs are generally disappearing.
One thing is needed: these days almost everyone is recharging electronic devices by USB connection. In a 5-star hotel, it would be good to provide at least one USB electronic outlet.
