Marinn Tropical Vibes Hotel

We were leery about staying here because of the past reviews. However, our stay was very enjoyable. All the staff were excellent. Bed was very comfortable. Our room was remodeled. Breakfast was good. Made to order eggs and pancakes. very close to ferry. Was a bit noisy at night, but we stayed on the weekend.

Hotel is in remodelation which is odd to stay there, it's not that good as it looks in the pictures. Some people of the staff have kind of preference in how they treat the tourist, if you are American you will get the best treatt, if not, don't expect much.

The room was mostly clean but we had to clean the bathroom ourselves. No one at the hotel spoke much English and the breakfast was had to figure out as no one in the restaurant could speak English either and the breakfast was a meat sandwich with baked beans. There was also a concert in the parking lot the night we stayed there that did not quit until after midnight. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Scam! Beware! If you need to stay a night before your cruise departure, book elsewhere! At 3:07pm (10 min before my flight take-off for 5+ hours flight), they send me an email that "due to maintenance situation...don't have rooms available..." and offered a "different location in the city center" - at minimum miles away but also without name/address, so no way to check reviews. I responded that this was not acceptable. No response from the hotel. Had to book a different hotel at much higher cost upon my arrival. The kicker, that 2 weeks later I still can't get my refund. According to the booking site, the hotel refuses to authorize the refund. I travel 2-3 months every year. It's been at least 8 years since I have had so horrible experience with a booking. So, if you want to at 10 pm without cell phone connection and in a country your don't speak the local language figure out alternative options and then fight for weeks to get money back for service NOT provided (much less extra costs) - this hotel is for you!

Some positive aspects (location, room size, concierge), but also some important negative ones (no cleaning, poor breakfast, no elevator) make it not a terrible hotel, but not one I'd be looking forward to go back to. The rooms are very large and the beds comfortable. Also the bathrooms are nice and they provide a hair dryer, soap and shampoo. But there is only one chair in the room and no fridge and only one set of towels and not one glass in the bathroom for your toothbrush. We stayed two nights and no one cleaned the room after the first night (so no fresh towels or toilet paper, either). The person at the reception desk apologized, but offered no discount or other compensation (like a future discount for the next stay). During the week-end the area around the hotel becomes very lively (a plus), but also rather loud (a minus, as all rooms are located on the first floor - the one above the ground floor, with no elevator and not very well sound proofed from exterior music and sounds). Breakfast is "free" (let's face it: it is not free: it is included in the room fare) and rather disappointing. You can choose to have a toast with white or whole grain bread, or no toast, a fried egg or no fried egg, coffee and orange juice. End of breakfast. No buffet, nothing sweet, no fruit. If you leave early for a canal tour you can't even get a coffee and there is no packed breakfast option. This was a wonderful spot, the hotel is located in one of the most visit and amazing area. There is shopping, restaurants, outdoor activities, a marina, bikes for rentals, kids parks, a walk to the marina to take a boat to Taboga island and so much more. I enjoy this hotel. The view from my balcony room of the Panama cinta costera was amazing. The only thing I have to say is the hotel doesn’t have an elevator which you have to take the stair to go up to your room, and there have to be like about 25 step up. Is a pain in the behind to go up those stairs but it was worthy. Also there was no fridge, but if you asked for one they will bring you one. The staff was amazing. Overall I will stay at this property again and again. It was a dream spot.

It was fine for a quick stopover stay. Great walking ability!

the facility was nice, the rooms are clean and AC works great. great views of the marina and water, Great area to walk and do biking or electric scooters. restaurants all around the area and easy to walk to. very safe area with great staff... stayed 2 nights.

The water view is priceless. This hotel has been refurbished and has been done well. Hot water and great pressure. Very large balconies.
