Memória Hostel

Excellent private rooms, outstanding cleaniness and attention to detail. Breakfast was an experience, beautifly set up and carefully selected local products. But above all, the best part was the delightful attention of the staff; special thanks to Beatriz and Sophia for their scenlent guest care and personalized attention.

Don't be fooled by the term "hostel" because Memoria Hostel is a chic little boutique B & B in beautiful Angra do Heroismo, very close to all the main sights. Rooms look just like on the website and the entire hotel is very modern and sparkling clean inside. The beds were very comfy, the shower pressure great, and the room nicely appointed (water carafe with glasses, TV, small flower vase, safe, etc.). But the true stars of the hostel are the people running it. The owners could not have been more kind and helpful when giving tips on sightseeing. Special mention also to the wonderful Beatriz: our flight came in after 11 pm, and she made sure to stay up to welcome us. She also organized a breakfast box due to our early departure as well as a taxi. Obrigada! Lastly, breakfast was wonderful with locals jams, bolo levedo bread, yogurt and more. In conclusion, Memoria Hostel is an outstanding place when stay in Angra and I could not recommend it more highly!

A very lovely hostel very close to the Center of Angra do Heroismo. Brand new facilities, very modern and definitely worth the price. Lovely hosts as well as very helpful, friendly and lovely staff (B and S). Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Breakfast offers a variety of local food options. 100% recommendation. Would come again for sure. ☺️☺️

Loved our stay at Memoria Hostel. Sergio and Helena were very hospitable, kind and provided us various suggestions on places to visit and eat in Terceira. Moreover the entire staff Beatrice and Sophia were also very helpful and friendly. They all spoke English well and was easy to communicate with them. The room we rented was very spacious and the entire facility was very clean and beautifully maintained. One of the best locations in the island and we truly loved it.

Dear Helena and Sergio, Thank you for the wonderful stay at Memória Hostel, for being so welcoming and helpful, I really enjoyed it. Memória Hostel is not even a 5 min walk to the historical centre of Angra and is located in a charmful street and in a historical building, with the interiors being comfortable and new. The suite Alto da Memória was just perfect, spacious, beautiful, clean and styled with a lot of taste and having your yummy breakfast on the terrace was an excellent way to start the day and to explore Angra and Terceira. One of my best accomodations ever, just felt at ease. If I come back to Terceira (and I might, Angra and Terceira being so fascinating), I will certainly stay at Memória Hostel again. 100% recommended to future travellers! Beautiful hotel with amazing hosts. Every detail has been thought about. If you need information about the island then Helena and her husband are happy to help. The rooms are well equipped and decorated. The breakfast is delicious with everything local to the Açores, including many home made items. The location is great, very close to the town centre, restaurants, shops, beach.
