Wake up to gorgeous views of Kachemack Bay and multiple glaciers and the Homer Spit from this newly built home in a quiet neighborhood in Homer, Alaska. This is a 2-story home built in 2023, fist time rental for summer of 2024. The rental unit is on the first floor, it is a walk-out basement with a separate entrance. The windows in the front part of the apartment have spectacular views. There are no stairs in the rental area. The view from the king bedroom is incredible - mountains, glaciers, Homer Spit, Kachemack Bay. Black out shades darken the king bedroom on long summer days. The queen bedroom is perfect for summer nights, as this room does not have windows, allowing a restful sleep when the sun is still up late at night in the summer. The kitchen is ready for cooking, with all new stainless steel appliances, fridge/ freezer, full size stove with gas cooktop, microwave, toaster, and toaster oven, plates, silverware, glasses. A stackable washer/dryer is provided in the unit. Propane grill outside, great for grilling the fish you catch. The eat at bar has beautiful quartz countertops and comfy barstools. Bed linens, towels are provided. There is a new leather couch with a 43 inch smart TV mounted on the wall - bring your passwords for streaming services. Heat is via radiant heat in the floor, perfect for the cool mornings. The windows open to let the fresh Alaskan air in during the day. There is a separate entrance for the apartment, has outdoor lighting for night, and parking in the driveway in front of the house. Covered seating outside allows for dining outdoors to enjoy the view. The owner lives upstairs (works from home/ remotely 6AM-2PM) and is available for questions/ assistance. A max of 2 pets welcome, but pets are not to be left alone in the apartment unless they are crated. Pet fee applies. There is not a yard for guests to use for pets, but the neighborhood is great for dog walks. There is also a hiking trail as part of the neighborhood, which is pet friendly. Owner has dogs which stay upstairs, they do not have access to the downstairs apartment. The Homer Spit is less than 5 minute drive away, as are the beaches. The neighborhood is on the bike/ walking path which leads through the town of Homer and to the Spit. The location is great, centrally located within city limits. There is hiking, and water taxis which will take you to Kachemack State Park. Other activities are salmon and halibut fishing, bear viewing trips, strolling along the Homer Spit, walking on the beach, and many photography opportunities in beautiful Homer and the wildlife which make this area their home.
