When we stopped here in September I gave the resort five stars, this time, despite the lovely staff, I have dropped the review because of a few negatives that hadn’t appeared last time. The other reviews pick up the qualities of this accommodation, which I would agree with, but I will comment on a few negatives. - The cleaning of the swimming pool was not satisfactory. A scum mark at water level around the pool was apparent, and whilst cleaning took place this was not always removed so more diligence is required. I’ve not seen this elsewhere so perhaps there are issues with the pool filters. - Our room (49) had a broken fridge in that the door seal was hanging off, whilst with a bit of jiggling the door could be shut satisfactory, it was reported and no action taken. - The young lifeguard spends his time in a location where he can’t see most of pool, but I am sure he gets a good reception on his phone, which he was on all day. - There were a number of scuffs on furniture, and marks on curtains. All making it a little poor. - There is a lack of sufficient sun umbrellas for the pool. There is plenty of space but the dreaded towels are now going down early to ensure that the lounges with umbrellas are secured. Some of the existing umbrellas are also broken. I don’t want to overemphasis these points as the food, location quietness, and staff are all excellent, but with a touch of TLC this place could be excellent.
