My husband and my son, after a 6 hour drive from North Carolina checked in around 11pm. The receptionist was on his private phone and would not acknowledge them standing in front trying to just go to their room after long, exhausting drive. After a few minutes of being brutally ignored, he said “what do you want?” , like they’re just random people who stopped by or something. I mean what else would they be doing with their suitcases standing in front of reception in a hotel!? After they got their keys, my husband asked where breakfast is served and he says “isn’t it obvious?” and points to the back. On top of that, the floor of the room had no carpet and was very sticky. We will never go back.
I am a manager myself and if any of my employees had this attitude towards anyone, they would be going to a customer service training or would be fired.
