Namaste Jungle - A Boutique Homestay

This property is located on a busy road. Unfortunately, when we booked, they omitted to tell us they were having a party outside our room on the first of our three night stay. No problem with anyone having a party if we have advance notice and cN make an informed decision as to whether we want to stay that night or adjust our dates. We were looking forward to the quiet, peaceful oasis as advertised. Tired after a long days travel, being awake till after 2.30am with the party did not help. We decided to check out the following morning and moved to a quieter place. We had paid for 3 nights in advance and the owner refused to make any refund or accept that we should have been told in advance of his party. In my opinion, this would have been common courtesy. Unfortunately, courtesy is a little lacking as he now refuses to answer any emails. The rooms are well appointed as we made sure to point out when we were leaving. I would not recommend.

The website promotes a quiet, peaceful and relaxing holiday - exactly what we were looking for. However having travelled extensively for ***y years unfortunately you cannot always believe the promo material. When we arrived we were informed that the owner was having a party that eve and as our hut was right beside the bar/party area we were welcome to join in. We didn't need to as the noise from the crowd and the music ensured sleep was not possible till after 3am. We decided to leave the next morning as obviously our interpretation of quiet, peaceful and relaxing was different to the owners. The owner is perfectly entitled to have a party yet why were we not informed when we booked 2 days previously and we could have made alternate arrangements. The fact that the owner has blanked our request for a refund tells you a lot about this place!
