Pakuba Safari Lodge

We spent 13 days in Kenya and Uganda and can confidently say that the Pakuba Safari Lodge was the best place we stayed in both countries! The grounds are nestled deep in Murchison falls park and at night animals walk up the hillside from the lake and sleep right on the grounds alongside the cabin rooms. Not only was the stay and the food great but the service was what you would expect from the best hotels in the world. Specifically we wanted to mention the waiter we had (Geoffrey). He was the kindest person who seemed to love what he did for a living and was always attentive to our needs. If the whole place was a dump he would still make it a lovely stay but he became the cherry on top of a wonderful lodge to stop in if you are visiting Murchison falls.

Pakuba Resort boasts a prime location within Murchison National Park, making it one of the closest resorts to the main game drive area. Just a 10-minute drive from the main road, the lodge is nestled behind a small hill, offering stunning views of the White Nile. Wildlife enthusiasts will be thrilled to find antelopes frequently roaming the premises, especially at night. We even spotted a lion and a leopard just 2 kilometers from the lodge, adding to the excitement of our stay. The resort offers a range of excellent facilities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Guests can relax by the swimming pool, dine at the restaurant, enjoy drinks at the bar, or unwind on the platform overlooking the lake. There's also a craft shop and a central reception area for added convenience. Our room was spacious, equipped with mosquito nets, air conditioning, and running hot water, covering all the basic amenities. The restaurant provided buffet meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with plenty of vegetarian options available. The service at Pakuba Resort was outstanding from the moment we arrived until the time we left. The staff were attentive to all our needs and quick to respond to any queries. Special mention goes to the restaurant staff, who were particularly excellent. Godfrey, in particular, made our meals memorable with his warm smile, engaging conversations, and caring attitude. His exceptional service truly stood out and added a personal touch to our dining experience. Overall, Pakuba Resort is a top choice for exploring Murchison National Park. Its convenient location, excellent facilities, and outstanding service make it a standout option for a memorable stay in Uganda’s natural beauty.

Loved the rooms and AC and food!! Little warthogs by the water hole and overlooking the Nile. So quaint and lovely!! Could see water buck every night coming to sleep by the lights for protection. Safe, clean. Hot water available and beds were firm and comfy

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at Pakuba lodge and it is always getting better! This place has undergone some renovations and has a new restaurant and bar area that are very nice and comfortable. The food is great and the chef, Danson, is amazing. He even altered some dishes to accommodate my food allergies. Everyone in our group said the dishes were gourmet. The rooms have air conditioning which is a plus in this region. Overall it’s a place that is welcoming and comfortable with a friendly staff.

Stayed here two nights. It was a pleasant surprise to find our room had AC. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. The meals had a wide selection of tasty offerings. If you are moving about the property at night, be sure to have a flashlight or “torch” as the walkways are uneven and if you walk on the grass there are animal droppings you may want to avoid. One afternoon, upon return from our safari, we were treated to an elephant right outside our door munching on the landscaping. Fun! 🤩

Its a very beautiful lodge along the Albert Nile, they have a swimming pool, the rooms have Air condition, they have great staff that welcome you with a smile and glass of cold juice and a wet cold towel. the meals are very nice with a verity of options to pick from.

We stayed 2 nights during our Safari Trip through Uganda. It was our first Lodge and one of the best during the trip. The Location of the lodge could not be better with an astonishing view and lots of wildlife in the camp itself. Staff was welcoming, helpful and curteous without being intrusive at all. We also enjoyed the Food there, as it was a buffet with a large selection of delicious local foods. Great, great lodge in all aspects!

Pakuba Safari Lodge is located in picturesque Murchison Falls, the lodge is hidden in nature with wart hogs, Marabou Storks and leopards roaming nearby. The rooms are spacious with mosquito netting around beds. The food is buffet style with local Uganda dishes served. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind. Made friends with Joan, a lovely restaurant worker .

Very spacious room with large bed and mosquito netting. Sitting area, desk, ample closet and suitcase storage, nice large shower. Very clean. Staff all friendly and helpful. Special mention about our waiter Mark. Super nice and helpful. Food was buffet style with a fairly good variety. Good but not great. Cappuccinos really good. Dining area had a wonderful view of the Nile River and a watering hole that attracted warthogs and Marabou storks while we were there. Nice option to sit outside. Nice porch in front of our accommodation as well as a large lounge on the grounds. Nice swimming pool but we didn't use it. Came across an elephant in parking lot one time. We were delighted to get great photos. No concerns about elephant. Surprised with a cake/song at the end of our stay by staff with sparklers in it as a thank you for our 5 night stay. Very nice and generous, and delicious!! Excellent location for safari excursions and well recommended.
