Fort Murchison Lodge

Very nice rooms with balconies (ask for a 2nd floor room in the “fort” block of rooms so you can see wildlife from your room terrace). $15 for a set dinner menu (4 course), really good quality food. Staff are very attentive, surroundings are beautiful.

I stayed in a tent with shared bathroom. Everything was very clean, and the tent was well equipped with a comfy bed and electricity. Great view of the river. There also is a nice swimming pool. Food was excellent, and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Brenda!

Super cool place (and extremely hot) in the nature with a nice location of the swimming pool. We stayed in a tent, which was alright for two nights, a cool experience. A fan in the tents would be nice. The staff is amazing and so friendly. The food is okay.

My wife and I spent two nights at this property. In our two weeks in Rwanda and Uganda, this was the worst propertty we stayed in! The access road to the property is badly sign posted and getting to the property is worse than the worst safari drive one can imagine! The staff was not very service oriented - when I asked for water at dinner the first night, I was asked to go and help myself at the water dispenser in the dining room! On returning to our rooms after dinner we discovered on pulling back the sheets that the bed was covered with dead or partly dead "leg flies" (as explained by the manager Herbert). Needless to say, we asked for the sheets and pillow covers to be changed. Also no water is provided in the rooms and there are no amenities provided. So bring your own drinking water, shampoo and shower gel.

Very nice, well-maintained accommodation in the north of Murchison Falls National Park. Clean rooms, nice staff, good food, good price/performance ratio. I would recommend this accommodation at any time.

Wonderful location near the Nile and Murchisson National Park. Big& clean rooms, good beds, nice swimmingpool. very good food and tasteful lunch bags. the garden is very colourful. You could hear the animals on the banks of the river Nile.

This was a very nice experience, from the warm welcome at the reception, nice staff, nice surroundings and good food. The tent was nice, the toilet facilities was adequat. Very nice swimming pool area.

The location is great, close to the park, on the banks of the Albert Nile. The lodge was beautiful, the gardens as well, the room scarcely furnished, but you do not really need more. The staff was very friendly and willing. The food was tasty. We hope that the management of lodge will pick up. Beware of the bugs though! Ensure that you use the bug spray provided in the bathrooms every time, before you use the facilities, because you WILL get bitten on ALL open areas on your body!

We stayed here for 2 nights as we toured Uganda, and it was great. Lovely location with the Nile River in the background. The interesting lodges were like nothing we have stayed in before. A comfortable bed with mosquito net, good shower and toilet and a nice balcony to sit on and enjoy the view. The food was great and the staff friendly. In hindsight it might have been nice to stay there another night as we barely had time to appreciate the place....I mean we didn't discover the large swimming pool until the morning we left! Highly recommended!
