Mint House at the Hatchery - Austin

45 minutes to check in. Standing outside on the phone to useless support. Checkin email. It received until I called them then has to do payment and ID check over the phone whilst standing in the street

We loved our stay here at the Mint House. Check in was so easy. Our room was so clean and had everything we could need. It was close enough to the city to walk to dinner but still out enough to be quiet to settle in for the night.

At booking I did not realize this is not a hotel in the sense there is no front desk, lobby, or anything like that. You register online and they send you information on how to get into your room all remote. We got there early and I was able to call somebody and they gave us access to our room early, so even though it wasn't quite what I expected, it worked out very well, and it was easy to reach people on the phone. Plenty of free parking. Room was spacious and clean. I would stay there again.

Proximity to east Austin was ideal, quiet street. The toilet ran in and off all day and night so I would suggest they get that fixed. The shower also dropped constantly. Otherwise all was good.

Very clean. Stayed there rather than at the conference hotel. Walked to the conference each way every day, 1 mile exactly. There were 2 of us, and the walk felt safe. We also discovered the route near the riverwalk, a little longer, but not walking on the streets. Best part: laundry room for free! It was 106 degrees each day, there was no wearing clothes twice during the trip. You can see in the pic that it is a small apartment, with the couch pulled out as a bed, not much room to move (we were colleagues, not a couple). But we spent very little time there. I would definitely recommend this property, and if I go back with my husband, would enjoy the very same room.

Great space, quiet, large, clean ... sweet coffee shop at the end of the block ... plentiful parking ... everything I could want!

Best place to stay with a beautiful space. Loved it and wished I stayed longer. Their pre checkin didn’t work and took 30 mins to check in though

The only bad side to this stay was the bed was a little uncomfortable. Other than that, which was so minor, the stay was wonderful. It was clean, newer well maintained appliances, more than enough towels and supplies and so easy to find and check in. We will definitely stay again!!

I enjoyed everything about the Mint House Experience except the bed was harder than I like generally.
