If I could rate it higher I would. From check to in and on the staff was simply amazing. Immediate to response and happy to help. The grounds are beautiful and I was beyond impressed with my room. It’s the kind of resort you never want to leave. They went so above and beyond that when I checked out travel arrangements were made to get me to my next stop Ubud. They were amazing.

Conceptually the layout of the 2 bedroom villa is fantastic. Two separate self contained bedrooms with an outdoor open concept living, kitchen and dining area that straddles the private pool. In theory however, the plague of mosquitoes make it impractical to enjoy the alfresco setting at night time without getting into a fight with a gang of mozzies. (Note to self: next time pack long linen pants / shirt). The kitchenette was also poorly equipped for self catering. No corkscrew to open a bottle of wine nor a microwave to heat left overs for the kids. The grounds of the resort were well manicured and the common pool was very nice. Staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant meals / breakfast was of good standard and plentiful in quantity. The location I’m afraid was a disappointment due to the traffic. While relatively close to the beach and many beach bars, the traffic in Seminyak is unbearable. And while it’s complete grid lock on one side of the villa, the other side is bordered by a busy main road that echos the constant sound of unmuffled motor bikes. The staff certainly deserve a higher rating than 3 stars however Next time we’ll be inclined to stay elsewhere (Jimbaran or Nusa Dua).

We just got back from the Amala Estate. Our family stayed in a 3 bedroom villa for my husbands birthday. The staff were absolutely fantastic. Everyone we met smiled EVERYDAY. No problem was too hard for them. The accommodation was wonderful - the kids jumped in the private pools 3-4 times a day. We had the privacy to just hang out together. The location was great - we were in Seminyak and most things in Seminyak were a walk or short grab-ride away. We had a two meal inclusion...and by the end of it we were scared of eating any more because that's all we did for 7 days!! (Time for a fast on return). The staff helped me arrange my husbands birthday cake and decorated the room. They made sure the cake was decorated as requested. Thank you to Roy and the wonderful wonderful staff at the Amala - if we come back to Amala again it will be because if your beautiful hospitality.

The Amala were extremely hospitable from the beginning. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were always happy to help. Extremely respectful to us. They helped book our fast boat to the gilis and ordered a scooter for our stay with them. When we were super tired from a day trip and wanted food quickly, they ordered us a takeaway. The villa itself was beautiful, a lovely outdoor living area with a pool. We also had a bath arranged for us on our final evening filled with petals and candles. We both had a traditional Balinese massage which was the best we've ever had. We would recommend staying here for anyone wanting a relaxing break but close enough to be able to access good shops and restaurants

Our group stayed at the 3 and 2 BR villas, both had very comfortable rooms and living area spaces. Bathrooms were also huge. There were mosquitoes and we very much appreciated the fumigation upon our arrival which definitely helped to keep mosquitoes at bay. The staff members were also kind and thoughtful enough to consistently check on our villas if there were any more mosquitoes, and provided us with more coils if needed. Breakfast was great. All dishes had huge servings and were prepared really well, but our favorite would be the happy smoothie bowl. The beverage selection was also good.  The staff are very capable, as all were very warm, helpful, and accommodating. Dessy at the restaurant was especially nice, she helped us with our breakfast every morning. Tya was also very cheerful.

Had a great experience staying at amala for almost 2 weeks. The rooms were great along with the whole resort. I stayed at the villas with 3 other friends - we immensely enjoyed the open living room area and the private swimming pool. Staff were super professional and nice. Breakfast was delicious.
