Leider wurde das Zimmer nicht gereinigt obwohl wir ein Kleinkind dabei hatten !(windeln)

The hotel is in desperate need of renovation. During my night stay here, the toilet broke, the air conditioner broke, and it’s really not an air conditioner. It’s just sort of like venting system. The door broke several times and finally they had to replace a battery in the door. The staff employees at the reception desk are very nice. they have really tried to help but the hotel is just extremely old and everything is broken. Today I came and tried to get my card key and I’ve been leaving the card key at the front desk it’s the old kind and if it touches the cell phone then it won’t work. No one was at the front desk for 15 minutes. Finally someone came and the card still didn’t work because the battery in the door had to be replaced. I didn’t even know doors had batteries. I cannot stress enough how hard the employees are trying, but the hotel is just not up to standards.

The Ibis Bamberg Altstadt hotel is in the perfect location to explore the old town of this beautiful German city. It's right next to the Hoffmann Theatre so very easy to find. We stayed here for just under a week in a room overlooking the street outside which is a main thoroughfare. It was a bit noisy at night from passers-by, but things went quiet after 11pm. We cannot blame the hotel for outside noise. Our room was lovely with all mod-cons and very well maintained. It was cleaned every day and we were given fresh towels when required. There was a large selection of items for breakfast ranging from traditional continental breakfast to bacon and eggs, cereals, yoghurt etc. There was a good selection of bread and a gluten free option was available. We really appreciated this. The staff were lovely - so friendly, cheerful and welcoming. Particular thanks to the lady who arranged gluten free rolls for my wife - we built up a really good rapport with her; she was delightful. All in all an excellent stay. We would definitely consider staying here again if visiting the area.

Very good location, first class reception staff , good breakfast. I really can't think of any negatives -if you want to nit pick there isn't that many breakfast tables and there isn't really a bar but if you want to drink, well you are in Bamberg.

Location only. Hotel needs a reno. Nice large double room with beds, but mini barhroom. Basic outdated bf space. Too much money for this room.

Extremely poor installation from both inside and outside meant that sleep was frequently interrupted

Nice basic hotel. Smallish rooms but good location

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The bathrooms are small and a bit outdated. The rooms are fine and clean. The location is great, very close to city centre.

Breakfast wasn't worth the money. 1st morning the eggs + sausages were cold (heat plate wasn't on), 2nd day bacon and some rolls run out. Location was good, close to everything. Well, it's a small town so pretty much everything is close.
