Montemar

This is our third visit to Llanes and the Montemar hotel. It’s about 60 miles from Santander so a great stop off before the ferry. The hotel is very well located for getting around this small coastal town that has a lot to offer. Bedrooms are very comfortable, exceptionally clean with everything you need. Also good large and secure car park. We will return.

Very friendly and welcoming team at the hotel, good value and location ideal for travelling around the area. Secure parking and motorcycle friendly. Have used this hotel on 3 separate trips and never been disappointed

The ride from Santander Port was wet, so unusually I took the motorway. Luckily it cleared as I rode West. The Hotel was easy to find, through the old town, past the Casino, (road closed in evenings as others mentioned) and second right. (signposted). I rode into car park and straight into "Moto" spaces. Easy Check In, good English spoken. Very nice 4th floor Bedroom with small balcony and brilliant shower. Voucher for sister hotel Restaurante, (which I used), Breakfast had two choices. I stayed three nights and really liked Llanes. It is very Spanish and I didn't meet any Brits. Certainly would go back.

Excellent hotel in perfect location in the beautiful town of Llanes. Rooms were very modern and specklessly clean. No air conditioning but fan system worked well in unusually high temperatures. Good car parking facilities which is crucial in Llanes. Beach and historic centre 3 minutes walk away. Be careful if you arrive after 6.00 as Main Street is closed you will have to go around the town to reach the hotel.

The room was perfect, just perfect. Booking went easy. Very good price too! Communication beforehand by whatsapp was easy and handy. Early check in was possible since my room was ready. The room is very nice. Bathroom too. Everything I needed was there. Clean and beautiful. With terrace. Location perfect, ideal to move around. Beach close by, bars & restaurants too. Friendly staff. Toilet was clean, bedlinen available and clean towels too. Free parking was available.

We spent 2 nights in 2 rooms on floor 1 of the Miramar. In August’s high season. The hotel is AMAZINGLY clean. Housekeeping comes daily and uses beautiful smelling products. The rooms are small and we were unable to get a balcony because the whole hotel was booked. The only big complaint we have was the the rooms do not have air conditioning. They explained that the government requires temps above a certain point before hotels can install it. The shower was THE BEST we have experienced so far in Europe. It was amazing! The staff were very kind and the manager was helpful- pointing us in the right direction for surfing and meals. He even came out to the parking lot with bottled water as we packed up to leave. We appreciated having cold water in the lobby each day as well. That was fantastic! Parking is right on site and EASY Breakfast was fine- coffee was self-serve so my crew missed a café con leche with breakfast. We enjoyed the large bottle of orange juice and the boys liked the eggs. The location was TOP Notch- easy to access all of Llanes and a short walk to the closest beach and súper vistas. We would highly recommend Hotel Montemar!
