The hotel (also listed as apartments Ponta) in general was unclean and unkept, the jacuzzi didn’t work and was disgusting, the pool was small cold and dirty, the bar was unmanned so the bar was not open the whole week, the lift to/from the pool was broke one day and the stairwell was locked, I panicked as the 2 staff in the stairwell I could see through the glass wouldn’t let us out and one shrugged his shoulders so we were trapped and no staff to help, room was filthy, riddled with dust, the floor and bedding were both dirty, the hot water was intermittent at best, the cleaners took the tip we left but never cleaned (bins emptied and towels changed only), the balcony door was broke and would not lock, we reported this at the reception immediately after checking in but the receptionist just told us to go to our room and ignored me when I asked if someone was coming and just stared at her mobile phone- no one ever showed for the whole week, there was rubbish bags left around, communal floors had spilled drinks there for days, Wi-Fi worked in the room for 2 days max and no Wi-Fi anywhere except reception. the restaurant /bar was virtually unmanned, the staff were all sat round a table having drinks all day and it took 3 members of staff to get us 2 beers, when someone did, I had to point out where the bottle opener was, the price list is apparently incorrect - I said we were overcharged for drinks but he said it’s a 2015 price list, no one came out to see if we wanted more drinks or to take the empties, nor did they come over when they seen us sat with a bottle of water we purchased elsewhere, they are just plain lazy!! Even before we booked we tried to contact them but never received a response. Just poorly managed and needs a good manager to oversee these flaws and get the staff to actually do some work- though there are some I am sure work hard, on the whole, we had little to no service and went largely ignored. The only nice part of it was location- the nice view from the room and pool area, it’s on a nice shingle beach, the walk along the beach takes you to Budva (~50 mins) the other direction there is another small quieter beach and you can do a very long and challenging (hazardous) walk to Sveti Stefan, there are shops nearby which are tucked away from the beach and very expensive. Beaches are nice but very busy, especially at weekends, we stayed in the quiet season so I’d imagine mid June onward would be as busy as the beaches on south west England (crowded!). Most of ge restaurants locally are over priced but there are s few around with specials boards so if you stay here I would recommend looking for them but overall I would not recommend this place and certainly not this hotel/ apartments until they sort the place out.
