The Harrison

From the moment I arrived at The Harrison Chambers of Distinction, I was welcomed as if I were family. Melanie and her exceptional team truly understand hospitality – their warmth and attention to detail made this stay one of the most memorable I’ve had. The hotel itself is a treasure trove of character and charm. Every corner, every room, every carefully chosen piece of décor tells a story, making me just as eager to explore the hotel as I was to discover the city of Belfast. It’s clear that an incredible amount of thought and love has gone into restoring and designing this stunning Victorian townhouse. The Harrison is more than just a place to stay – it’s an experience. Whether you’re visiting Belfast for the first time or returning, I highly recommend staying here. I’ll definitely be back.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. We loved the crazy decor and the wonderful welcome from hostess Melanie. Ryan at the front desk was also outstanding with her enthusiasm and helpful recommendations. The breakfasts were superb. This place is centrally located very close to Queens University. We stayed in the CS Lewis room which was absolutely lovely. One of my favorite aspects of this hotel was the “wardrobe” with her coat hanging that you have to go through to get to the breakfast room. Another very helpful aspect of this hotel is the secure and free parking lot behind the building. If we ever return to Belfast, we will stay here. In the meantime, I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone who comes to this wonderful city to visit.

We arrived on a dark and rainy evening just before Halloween to be greeted by the fabulous Melanie. We were promptly shown to our room, The Lillian Bland room. What a gorgeous, cosy and wonderfully decorated room. Beautiful warm and comfy bed. Stunning bathroom. Plenty of storage space. Lovely and warm. Absolutely perfect base for our 3 days in Belfast. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Huge selection of fruit salads, meats, cheeses and breads. Pastries. First morning we tried the sausage roll. Absolutely yummy. On the 2nd morning I had scrambled eggs and my husband had poached. Both cooked to perfection. 10/10. Perfect location. Near enough to walk into town but far enough away from the bustle of the city centre. Absolutely would not hesitate to stay again and would certainly recommend this amazing place. Thank you. This was an incredible experience at the Harrison. Beautiful rooms, like some kind of Sherlock Holmes steampunk fever dream. Incredibly thoughtfully decorated hotel, with intentional efforts to use local NI suppliers for everything possible. The staff were kind and helpful and upgraded me when I requested a particular room (the rooms are all named after specific people and I got Van Morrison). I blinked when I saw there was no TV's in the room, but to be honest, it was the best thing for me, I needed the peace and quiet. Everything from the little glass bottles of milk to the antique furniture to the fully comprehensive hotel book describing everything I'd need during my stay to the velvet armchair I could sit and relax in was just amazing. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Thank you to Charlize who was kind and thoughtful and a pleasure to deal with. I'll be back again :)

A great experience and would recommend it to anyone. The hotel is really unusual and quirky, the decoration, pictures, and ornaments all add to the atmosphere of the hotel Melanie and all the staff were superb. As it was our first visit to Belfast, their advice and help were really appreciated. We went down for breakfast an hour early as we were going on trip, the girls doing breakfast were great and sorted us out, no problem. Don't expect a standard fried breakfast. The choice was great , fruit breads cheese pastries, etc, plus some cooked options. This was one of our favourite hotels we have stopped in, and would advise visitors to Belfsst to stay here

Everything about our experience was excellent — not just the signature suites, but every suite we saw had its own unique theme and was beautifully maintained. The team was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and their hospitality was truly exceptional. We would love to visit again.
