Hotel Agua Azul - Adults Only

First time at this Hotel but certainly won't be the last,absolutely spotless,staff amazing and so helpful and the food omg the food is fantastic so much choice and the san Francisco cocktail is my new favourite,perfect location for everything be at the shops,bars and beach within minutes,always plenty sunbeds available throughout the day,already looking to book our next visit.

We were put in wrong rooms to start with because jet2 can’t organise things. They had a few rooms free but wouldn’t accommodate at all. Food was lovely but we all had bad stomachs on Sunday till we left, spoke to a few people some of whom were sick. Drinks were good, branded spirits and beer. It’s not great for disabled people it’s got really slow lifts aswell. Lots of old folk there 70+ I was one of the youngest at 42. Rooms are weird, open showers no privacy. Toilet doors are see through - not great is it? They need redesign. Noticeable Starch smell to the bed sheets and towels which you get a wiff of. Saw a staff member in the town stealing from people’s bags , imagine how many times he’s done that? Does he do it in the hotel? Location was great literallly go left for new town or right for old. Overall they’d be better getting away from jet2 it’s gunna damage their business. A Cleaner soaked the floor and a friend slipped and bruised his leg and elbow aswell as smashed iPhone - no one cares. Won’t return after we fell ill - save yourself before it’s too late!

Just got home after a fantastic week at this lovely hotel. All the staff work extremely hard to make sure that everyone enjoys their stay, nothing was too much trouble. Freddie is a credit to the entertainment team. The hotel is spotless and in a brilliant location - will definitely be returning - keep up the good work :)

Fantastic little hotel and great friendly staff though out the hotel rooms lovely and kept clean cant fault the service by all staff members food great and a lot to choose from entertainment good though out the day will definitely be coming bk and we are really enjoying our holiday will miss it when we leave on Monday thanks for a great holiday close to shops and beach based between old and new town would recommend to.any one.

There are elements of this hotel which are exceptional . Reception staff super helpful and accommodating. Hotel is clean. Quality of food is good. Drinks are good with premium brands. Pool are not open till 9am, stops the 5am sun bed fun! Hotel manager is so hands on and runs a great hotel. Daytime music by the pool lovely Sax player. Location is great. Beds clean and comfortable. Some quick wins for this hotel: Ensure all bar staff are as friendly as Irene and Carolina. The water machine that is on during breakfast needs to be on during lunch and mealtimes. This would reduce the queue at the bar and also the water bottles. Better for the environment. Move the ice cream nearer to serving area. Staff waste time having to move between the different elements of the bar. Think possible about having one serving space for both outside and inside drinks. Look to have a courtesy room for those with late flights. First four star hotel I have stayed stayed in that did not have this facility. The smaller solo rooms need to be offered at a cheaper price. Move cabana beds to the terrace to allow more sun loungers by the pool. Longer term: Rooms will need upgrading soon. Some woodwork and grouting needs attention. Black tiles make the rooms feel smaller. These should be replaced over time. Air conditioning is not as effective as other hotels. Overall a great hotel which needs a little attention if it is going to remain one of the best hotels in Benidorm.

So pleased we booked this hotel. We stayed in room 106 which overlooked the pool and it was great, plenty of room, there are bedside tables though not with draws just an opening and they are quite sufficient and we found the wardrobes good too. The beds and pillows were so comfy. The glass at the bathroom was not a problem for us but just to make sure we didn't forget it, I left the bathroom light on with the door shut, which just gave a glow to the bathroom during the night. The hotel is about a 4 minute walk from the old town, it's in a perfect position. The pool was just the right size for the hotel, although there is the usual sunbed wars, the hotel have taken the steps of removing towels and belongings up until 10am on which people have been absent for 20 minutes. This stopped people from reserving sunbeds and going off for the day. This rule was enforced every morning. I will say the sunbeds could do with being a little comfier and they need to leave an opening at each entrance into the pool so people who are not immediately at the side of the sunbed can pass through to get into the pool. There are 2 further sunbathing areas one up the stairs at the back of the pool and one at the side of reception on the ground floor, this one has showers but doesn't get sun until 1pm onwards. The food is plentiful, my husband loved his cooked breakfast every morning and at lunch and dinner you could always find something that you could enjoy. There is also a snack bar at back of the pool which provides snacks, we found the hot dogs excellent. The pool also has live entertainment some days which is great. The entertainment at night we found no fault with. We enjoyed all we watched. The age range at the hotel was mixed as was nationalities. The drinks were branded. However if you wanted any lager other than Anstil, there was an extra charge. The hotel could do with another lager on tap, as a lot of men, my husband included, would have preferred lager, but not liking Anstil, they were forced to drink shorts. I would have thought that providing another choice of larger would actually save the hotel money in the long run. All staff worked extremely hard and we're very pleasant. The cleaners were amazing. We will definately be back to the hotel Agua Azul as this will now be our go to hotel for Benidorm. Finally, I would like to say thank you to all the wonderful staff for making our holiday so enjoyable.
