MEININGER Hotel Berlin East Side Gallery

We took a school group here during the Feb half term, the location is really good, easy train links into central Berlin. The breakfast was really filling and had everything you could want, the rooms were large enough and the bathroom was clean and the shower was good.

Very nice stay and location in the city of Berlin. We visited the city of Berlin for the weekend and we had a pleasant stay. Rooms were clean and cozy. We got a room in the 9th floor and we enjoyed much the great view over the city of Berlin and the TV tower.

We had an amazing stay in Berlin staying at MEININGER Hotels, staff was really friendly, we got a room in the 9th floor and the view was amazing. The room was clean but a bit small. The breakfast served until 10:30 was tasty wit a lot of variety. We will definitely come back

First and foremost we found bedbugs in our room. At first the hotel handled this good and gave us a new room, but our clothes had to be put in the freezer to get rid og the pests (mind you, one of my roommates is deathly allergic so this whole ordeal is horrible in itself). Since all our clothes were in the freezer, the staff said we could go buy clothes on the hotels bill and we could get it refunded. This however never happened, we found the bug in the middle of the night and the next day they said they could not refund us for any clothes but just medicine. Which is outrageous because they told us we had to buy clothes. We only got maybe 1/4 of the bill refunded after many days of having to talk to the staff and they were rude and manipulative, trying to seem like the vicitms and saying the didn’t fins bedbugs and that is was only a mosquito we found, but i will put a picture below so you can see for yourself. We also had a lot of other problems like: non working key-cards, not clean bathroom, the power randomly going out and a shower that sounded like blitzkrieg had started again. I will never return to this hotel, bad staff. Thank you.

Good place to stay. Stayed in a 4 bed dorm, with a bit of a strange set up of 1 double bed and a bunk bed in the corner. Very clean but no lockers in the room, €4 a day to pay for a locker in reception. Good location though, used the S-Bahn to travel about the city every day & we could see the east side gallery from our room :)

Bad service. No room to accommodate your stay. Just rude staff. Clean ish. But would not recommend. Had a staff member cough up a phlegm ball a meter from me. While waiting for their non negotiable check in. Fun times.

Very dirty hotel. My bathroom hadn't been cleaned when we checked in. Toilet seat was dirty. Old blood stains on a bedsheet. Informed front desk regarding dirty bathroom, only response was, "sorry." Also, disgusting dirty carpets in hallways. I am certain you'll find much cleaner hotels around Berlin, this one isn't one of them!!!

Really good vibe at this hotel. I stayed in female dorm for 3, though there are private rooms. Very pleasant helpful staff on bar and reception. Room was very cosy and clean, with A bunk bed and a single. Bathroom was a huge wet room with great shower..Location great for Ostbahnhof station S bahn and U bahn, and the fabulous East side Gallery wall, a great 2 night stay

I had mistakenly booked the wrong date, and tried to contacting them right away, but no one picked the phone, also sent an email, and no answer. They only picked up the phone hours later, and then they said they couldn’t do anything about it, since it had passed 1 hour, which is really convenient when they didn’t care to answer the phone in the first place. Anyway, on the website said it was easy to change the date, and couldn’t that there either, so just lost money, and they didn’t do anything to help, so worst service I have gotten. I had to book another hotel.
