The Mulburn Inn

Under new ownership in 2024, this lovely and truly historic inn is under the committed and earnest care of Karen and Dave Caldwell. While fairly new to the inn keeping trade, they have already mastered the art of hospitality with their warmth and friendly manner. They consider themselves caretakers of this impressive and stately property, and they are doing a fine job! They enjoy sharing the home’s history, and pointing out unique aspects of it. Karen enjoys creatively and festively decorating the place according to season. Dave enjoys cooking for and feeding people, and BOY, does he do it well. If you have a chance to try his croissant bread or maple bacon, by all means, INDULGE. This couple exudes warmth, and graciously accommodates guests so all are well cared for. Kudos to their team, Jane and Jess, who are also charming and friendly. We almost passed this up, as the only room left had twin beds. So glad we stayed there; it was well worth it, and the beautiful antique beds were comfy. If in their area, Mulburn Inn is a special place to stay. Many thanks for providing such a wonderful landing spot for this duo!

Beautiful inn. Great hosts. Delicious breakfast. Darling town. We did a mini-tour of 3 New England states and stayed in 5 different inns. All were nice but Mulberry was by far our FAVORITE! Dave and Karen are kind and personable hosts and are doing a great job. We are not usually inn people but this was such a positive experience. We loved our stay and want to go back!
