Binna Burra Sky Lodges

The view from our 3 bedroom villa was absolutely incredible and exceeded our expectations. The walks around binna burra were great. We loved the villa but it did have a few maintenance issues

This was my 2nd time staying at the Binna Burra Sky Lodges, after the bushfires hit the Binna Burra Lodge in 2019. It was fortunate that the Sky Lodges seemed relatively unscathed by the bushfires that ravaged the park. The Sky Lodges are beautifully furnished, with lots of beverages, utensils, laundry facilities and a spa bath. The only limiting aspect of service is that there were no bathroom slippers provided to shield our feet from the stone cold floor. Due to unforeseen work circumstances, a personal friend who was supposed to drive us up to the Sky Lodge, and accompany us on a bush walk had to cancel on us about a week before our booking. I called the property hotline and Lodge duty manager, Pip was really responsive to recommend a private transport operator to ferry us up from Nerang Train Station to Binna Burra and back. As we arrived at Binna Burra, I was surprised to find that the check-in for the Binna Burra Sky Lodges has moved to the Teahouse, which is about 200-300 metres down the road from where the Sky Lodges were located. Thankfully, we had an awesome duty manager, Justine who allayed our concerns- allowing us to deposit our bags as we embarked on a hike to Daves Creek Circuit. She also had to manage and deal with my unreasonable, demanding father who dropped out early in the hike and hounded her for our whereabouts when we were uncontactable due to poor signal reception. When we checked-in at reception, Justine provided exceptional customer service by driving us up to the Sky Lodges and porting our heavy bags into the room. She also approved of us checking-out by leaving our keys in room, instead of having to lug all our belongings down to reception.

We are in our late 70s and wanted time away. It was excellent in both major categories: 1. Accommodation We had a studio in one of the lodges. Extremely comfortable. We could not fault the fitout. The facilities for self-catering were excellent, though a larger fridge would have been appreciated for a longer stay. 2. Restaurant We enjoyed the "Breakfast and Dinner" package. The breakfast platter (for 2) would leave some major hotels for dead. The dinner menu - while not overly extensive - still covered chicken, seafood, meat, and two vegetarian/vegan options. Our choices over a number of nights were cooked and presented to perfection. The bar had plenty of options, and we were well attended by the staff. 3. Walking trails Neither of us are as fit and flexible as we would like to be so we will not comment on the plethora of walking trails.

The tiny wild house at Binna Burra Lodge is an absolute gem. With incredible views, a comfy bed, and all the essentials we will definitely be back! The lodge is conveniently handy and close to many walking trails which led to a full day adventure with spectacular waterfall and rainforest views. We had the Breakfast & Dinner inclusions and the food was INCREDIBLE! Could not fault a single dish between us. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful stay :) T & R

We stayed in the adults only tiny wild houses and loved every second. So tranquil and to be surrounded by the beauty of the Gondwana Rainforest was truly special. Thoroughly recommend this experience. We purchased the daily breakfasts and nightly three course dinners for an extra special treat, and can’t recommend the food enough. A wonderful few days in the hinterland. Will be back for sure.

Our second stay in the tiny wild houses and we love them. A special thank you to Justine and Pip who are so so friendly and helpful. Also the restaurant were wonderful in doing us vegan options.
