We were very apprehensive about travelling to Germany due to Covid. We had tried to email Center Parcs in Germany before our visit but it took them 2 months to reply to our email. There is no way of contacting them via the telephone. We were at center Parc in Bispingen for 10 nights and were only able to use the swimming pool twice, which we had to book in advance. I understand the difficulty with Covid but we weren’t offered any compensation of vouchers to use on other activities which were very expensive. When we booked center Parcs in Bispingen we expected to be able to use the pool (included in the price) everyday to keep the children entertained. Instead we had to pay out for them to do other activities. They did not cater for English people as all of the entertainment was either in German or Dutch. The accommodation was awful. I had to sleep in the lounge every night as the mould on the bedroom walls affected my asthma. The lodges are extremely damp and we travelled in August with really hot weather. The shuttle which takes you around the park and into town also wasn’t working. I would not return.

We had a great stay and all the family enjoyed ourselves. The park is great with lots of activities to keep with children entertained. We didn’t find the food on site great so either ate in local restaurants (which were good) or cooked ourselves. A few things could have been improved. Laundry - there was one washing machine and one dryer for the entire Parc, THIS IS CRAZY! Visitors have children and need to do washing, you the park can charge for washing and it looks like is space to add more in the washing building. There is also no redundancy if one of the machines breaks. This lack of provision is really irritating, people want to spend their time relaxing on holiday not waiting for a washing machine… There were also no irons available anywhere on site. I had to do a work Zoom call while away so it was frustrating not be be able to iron a shirt at all. The shower was blocked up with hair and gunk and so was flooding the bathroom. It would be great if the maintenance was improved and things like this was checked. Annoyingly some of the rooms didn’t have blackout blinds or shutters and so it was light every early in the morning which meant the children woke up early. This was disappointing and could easily be cheaply addressed to provide a better stay. The non stick pans in the kitchen were old and scratched and needed replacing, especially as this is a health risk. Lastly it was a bit frustrating being in the glorious countryside though being not too far from the A7 motorway there was background noise from the vehicles which was a pity. I hope the small issues that can be fixed will be improved as it would make it a better stay. Overall we enjoyed our time a lot and would return.

Mooi en groot park, met goede cottages. Wij verbleven er is juli 2025 in een 4p premium cottage. Huisje was schoon, ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. Wij zaten zelf op 5 minuten loopafstand van de Market Dome, maar omdat het park groot is, kun je best fietsen of een e-car huren wanneer je wat verder weg zit. De Market Dome heeft alles wat een CenterParcs normaal ook heeft: supermarkt, gift shop, Aqua Mundo en restaurants. Verder is er op Bispinger Heide nog een bakkerij (daar haal je 's ochtends je verse broodjes, taartjes, muffins of donuts) waar je ook heerlijk Starbucks drinken kunt bestellen. Ook is er een Brauhaus waar je Duits bier en lokale specialiteiten kunt bestellen. Eten kun je ook bij de Snackbar, Il Giardino (Italiaans) of Market Restaurant (buffet, all you can eat). Helaas vonden wij zowel de Italiaan als het buffetrestaurant - zeker volgens Duitse maatstaven - tegenvallen. Bij de Italiaan waren de pizza's wel lekker, maar was er, net als bij het buffetrestaurant, weinig keus. Wij hadden een driedaags arrangement voor het buffetrestaurant, maar hadden daar achteraf spijt van. Beter rijd je een keer richting Soltau (bijvoorbeeld naar de designer outlet) of eet je bij de plaatselijke sushi tent in het schattige dorpje Bispingen. In de Aqua Mundo was het ondanks hoogseizoen niet al te druk, ik elk geval niet als ik het met de Nederlandse CenterParcs vestigingen vergelijk. Er was elke dag wel een zitplaats te vinden en er stonden geen rijen bij de glijbanen of de wildwaterbaan. De sportsbar mag eigenlijk geen naam hebben, was steeds 's avonds pas open, waardoor je geen drinken kunt bestellen wanneer je in de middag gaat bowlen, poolen of bij de GameTown bent. Jammer! Er zijn ook nog een indoor speeltuin (Baluba), binnen tennisbanen en 2 tafeltennistafels. Vlakbij de indoor speeltuin is er nog een wellness centrum. Van al deze dingen hebben wij geen gebruik gemaakt, dus daar kan ik niets over vertellen. Ik heb ook nog in de omgeving hardgelopen, maar omdat ik niet van de trails ben, heb ik het bij de fietspaden in de buurt gehouden. Redelijk saai. Ik denk dat de heidepaadjes wel mooi zullen zijn. In de directe omgeving is de designer outlet in Soltau wel leuk om even te bezoeken. Het is wel outlook, dus niet echt handig op een regenachtige dag. Prijzen van de producten zijn top! Ook in de buurt: attractiepark Heide-Park, een echte aanrader als je pretparkgekkie bent, zoals wij. Wij zijn daar 3 dagen gebleven na een weekje Bispinger Heide. We hadden tijdens ons verblijf op CenterParcs helaas slecht weer, dus weinig buitenactiviteiten gedaan. Wel 1x midgetgolf, was wel aardig. Samengevat: mooi park, tof zwembad, maar hiervoor hoef je niet helemaal naar Noord-Duitsland te rijden. Voor ons voegde dat uiteindelijk niets aan de CenterParcs beleving toe.
