Phong Nha Eco Mountain Farmstay

We were 4 families with children that stayed in this property for 2 nights. This is in at great location and, of course, has a great potential. However, we faced the following problems. We didn't get drinking water in the room without a charge, perhaps the only place we came across this problem, while being in Vietnam. Though they have a decent large swimming pool, it wasn't maintained at all - they hadn't cleaned it. Avoid this property, if you are traveling in a rainy season - there's leakage in all the rooms. The worst part is - with the rain, there were serious electrical problems. By the way, if you are a dog lover, this is the place for you. There are 5-6 of them inside the restaurant, unfortunately not very friendly and our children were really scared. Finally, they charged 500,000 VND for a van transfer to the town that was only a 5 miles away - 10-12mts drive.

Magical for those that seek nature, unique experiences, stunning views, dreams of a beautiful life… you know who you are! So thankful I found this place on my way to the Phong Nhà Botanical Garden. Amazing staff, English and Japanese speaking 日本語. They rescued my soul, shared beautiful food and lifelong memories. It’s almost surreal sitting while butterflies dance across the patio, koi fish jump up suddenly to catch a bite, birds sing about their days… Room types vary, if you’re looking for something to write home about and don’t care about using a little mosquito spray (bugs were not an issue though) this is the most unique experience in phẳng nhà - and they don’t push you to book tours or buy extra stuff. It’s all love, healthy food, mountain water, a few bicycles to use, Motor scooters for rent and lots of photos to be taken.
