The best hotel with the best service great for staff with awesome rooms we got upgraded for a twin bed because we didn't had a balcony and the hotel lady was kind enough to replace the room on the 2nd floor would recommend who's coming to bolzano

It was very nice, clean and cozy. The staff was very nice. The price was quite high though. Breakfast wasnt big but very clean and cozy. The hotel is historic, but very clean with nee supplies. It is located near the train and bus station. I recommend.

Came here for the one night and we have An amazing very spacious hotel room the size of an apartment - very comfortable bed. Shower was perfect and cleanliness impeccable. Receptionists were very sweet and very helpful Breakfast was perfect with a very good selection. Pity we stayed just for the one night but we loved every minute.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times, the rooms are nice and the staff is kind. For my last visit i booked a Deluxe Double Room with Balcony with 1 king bed and 1 sofa bed. As i’m travelling with my dad i decided to offer him the king bed and sleep on the sofa bed. Upon check in at 6pm the friendly lady at the desk told me that she wasn’t sure if the sofa bed was prepared and i told her that we will go out for dinner and housekeeping could come at any time to check it. That is when things went sour….. The tall manager came out of his office schooling us in a very unfriendly and snooty way that I should have requested for the sofa bed to be prepared through *********** and that he would not send anyone to the room to assist me as it was my mistake. He argued for 10 minutes with us about it and categorically refused to accommodate my simple request of making up the sofa bed which is part of my room. I can understand that some complex request need to be processed in advance but we only required an extra linen and bedsheet in the room. The arrogance of the manager made us so upset instead of showing hospitality and customer service he blamed on us, he even came up with the excuse that he did not have anymore housekeeping staff available after 6pm which is unseen in a 4 star hotel. He did not offer any support, it was a ridiculous ego show about a blanket and a linen which is something that I can expect from a zero star student dormitory but not from one of the best hotels in Bolzano. We finished check in and believe it or not we did not get the linen and blanket until the next day…. P.S. look at the other negative comments and you’ll see that this person at the reception is notorious for such behaviour.

Such a good hotel on a lovely little town. Well located, rooms are clean and modern and staff friendly and helpful. Close enough for a stroll to town and the gondola for some exploring. Breakfast is included and is varied and delicious. They have a coffee bar which serves coffee all day. The swimming pool is great as is the garden. Will definitely stay again.

I have been here twice now over two years and would come again. This is a mid size hotel in an old building but the interior has been completely modernised. The decor can seem a little spare initially - the walls are white and there is quite a lot of bare light coloured timber - but I came to really enjoy it. All the rooms I have had have been very spacious, immaculately clean and very functional. Bathrooms are excellent and the AC works very well. Breakfast is great. The selection of sweets on offer is beyond the usual offering in Italy, which means there is a lot to choose from. Of more interest to me though is that they also have great quality wholemeal bread, unsweetened muesli and quite a lot of fruit. Hot food is also on offer. Perhaps a slight disadvantage of this hotel is that it is about 700m from the old town centre, but on the other hand the building sits on a large block. A real highlight is that there is a great outdoor pool in a really nice garden setting. On a hot summers day I spent several hours here just relaxing. Staff have always been very helpful and friendly. If I come to Bolzano I will definitely be back.

The saying….you can not tell a book by its cover is incorrect for Hotel Scala. It is beautiful on the outside, inside, grounds and rooms. In addition to the space the art is very memorable. The frescoes of the 12 months, in the dining room, are true pieces of art. In addition the staff are 5 star and the food is amazing. With the convenient location it is PERFECT. We are senior citizens on our honeymoon and the entire experience was exceptional. Thank you

I stayed at the Hotel Scala Stiegl in July 2023 and I had one of the most memorable hotel stays ever! The staff were all very friendly. The room, I must say, was one of the best hotel rooms I have ever stayed in! The room was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and modern! The breakfast buffet was one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever eaten at! The hotel is also conveniently within walking distance of the historic district of Bolzano and most of the major attractions. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a trip to Bolzano and I will certainly be returning to the Hotel Scala Stiegl!

Great hotel for layover or longer in Bolzano. Friendly staff - bar and restaurant with fine food and drinks. Breakfast doesn’t let miss anything. Clean room - with good spring box bed. Choice of pillows can be ordered. Parking garage and spaces are near by.
