Great National The Brackenborough Hotel

Went to a ball on Saturday night and had stayed in the hotel. The jacuzzi bath didn't work, and we're given very little loo roll. The bed was so uncomfortable. At the ball, the food was awful. Mass produced with no seasoning. The only nice thing i ate was the cheesecake.

Attended a wedding here recently. All i can say and advise is when booking a wedding package please book your own dj separately. The one included in the package was honestly horrendous and I’m not quite sure they can even call him a dj he had not one song anyone asked for even such as Taylor swift for the young children at one point he played an opera song which everyone just had to laugh because we couldn’t quite believe he thought that was a good song choice to play. The bride and groom felt so embarrassed at just how bad he was. So please think twice before accepting there dj included because they can literally make or break your wedding atmosphere and he DEFINITELY BROKE IT. If the hotel read this review please take on board and do better. FIND BETTER. Otherwise everything else was lovely food was great venue was great and the hotel was lovely.

Check in was at 4 which I thought was late. Turned up a bit earlier and asked if our accommodation was ready. They said not until 4. Then when I walked away the receptionist said to another member of staff that she does not understand why people ask early when it says check in is at 4pm. We went to look at lodge 1 just after 3 pm and it was ready then. They was just putting water in the hot tub which they forgot about so when we eventually able to check it the hot tub was overflowing. Lodge 1 was ok. Could do with a deep clean. Curtain was dirty. Blinds was dusty. Carpet looks like it’s getting bleached from the hot tub. It was a nice couple of days away. We ate in the restaurant. The only thing we did not like was the chips had a funny taste to them. Not sure what they cook them in.

I have just returned from the most amazing family holiday at Holly Manor House. From the initial check in at reception there was a friendly vibe where everything was explained very well. Upon entering the house we were amazed by the huge gated driveway and front garden which is kept beautifully. All the bedrooms are decorated so nice with lovely modern en-suites. The beds were very comfortable ensuring a perfect night's sleep. We had a little surprise on the beds of some Easter chocolates- thank you! The downstairs has 2 sitting rooms and a conservatory with a pool/ping pong table. This was great for all the family to have plenty of space and fun playing games. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and a seperate utility with washing machine & dryer. The house was kept very clean with everything we needed for our stay. We brought 2 dogs with us and they loved the huge garden to play in and the spacious downstairs. We had a big hot tub which was maintained every morning. This was very relaxing and we could admire the view of the beautiful garden. Holly Manor is located at Brackenborough Lakes Resort where there are other lodges and a hotel which was nice to walk around. There is also a restaurant and an outside bar area which will be lovely to sit out at in the summer months. We travelled into Louth by car which was 5 minutes. Its a lovely town with shops, supermarkets, bars & restaurants. A big thank you to Lisa for talking to me over the phone and making sure we had the best holiday. We will definitely be returning later in the year and highly recommend to anyone thinking of booking. Thank you ❤️

I can't recommend the Brackenborough Hotel enough. We threw a Charity Ball in the Tennyson suite of the Brackenborough Hotel this last weekend. Richard, Dave and all the staff were incredibly helpful every single step of the way. The entire event felt seemless and professional because of these staff members. The food was INCREDIBLE...! It came out perfectly presented, hot and on time. There were many MANY empty plates. The venue is also beautiful, and accessible for all guests. There are no steps at all and the accessible toilet has been perfectly designed. From all of us at Naomi's Garden we say THANK YOU for making our event one to remember. Here's to the next event.

It’s many years since I visited the Brackenborough Arms for a meal, so when I turned up for an overnight stay this week I was astonished at how much it has evolved. Super friendly and efficient reception and a lovely comfortable room, tastefully decorated and thoughtfully equipped. I had a Caesar salad for supper in the comfortable and welcoming bar lounge where the unusual and stylish furnishings invite you to investigate further and relax. My meal was delicious, and coupled with an extensive choice of drinks to accompany it I felt completely spoilt. Overall, a lovely out-of-the-way place to spend a night or two, I highly recommend it.

We came for one night bed and breakfast as we were invited for a wedding evening party, which by the way was a great night, great entertainment and great food in the Tennyson.The let down came the next morning after a great sleep.Downstairs we headed for breakfast, plenty of choice.We both went for the full English,as did most of the last nights people.we where given a plate of Luke warm under cooked if at all cooked.we left most of it as did from the tables around me did the same. So stay here but go elsewhere for a proper cooked breakfast.

Perfect! My husband and I had our wedding in the Tennyson Suite at the Brackenborough in February 2024. We can not praise and recommend this venue enough. From our first visit to look at the Tennyson Suite, through to our big day, we had positive experiences. We worked closely with Katie before our big day and David on the day. Katie listened to all of our requests and details and she made them all happen. David was with us for the full day and he ensured everything ran smoothly. We both really did have a stress free day/night. The venue itself looked absolutely amazing- we used Fairytales for additional decorations. The food was beautiful both for the wedding meal and the buffet. We could not be happier with our wedding day/night and all of our family and friends have said they had the most amazing day/night. Stayed for 2 nights having booked a bed and breakfast, evening meal deal threw off peak luxury breaks. Check in - quick and easy, everything explained and complimentary drink offered whenever we were ready. Room (207): Family room (only room available at booking). Generally clean, especially bathroom but tired stained sitting chair (needs removing and steam cleaning), room door in poor repair although safe enough when locked. Window top sash broken and doesn’t shut properly. All easy fixes. Not a bad room tbh but sort those little things out and would be much better. Water and tea,coffee facilities good. Restaurant: Dinner, plentiful and nice. Breakfast again good. Quite a good selection with wife loving the eggs royale. Staff: The jewel in the crown. Simply wonderful, everyone we spoke to and who served and looked after us. Professional, efficient and friendly. The best staff we have ever encountered in our many trips. I would have scored the hotel 4.5 because of the small room issues but the staff are 5 star. Thank you for a lovely stay.
