From the warm welcome when we arrived late Thursday night after driving for nearly six hours in some terrible conditions, to the ambience of the bar & restaurant then to relaxing in the hotel room (#10). We laughed when we said we needed a stepladder to get onto the bed which was very comfortable. The blue bathroom is lovely & warm. The shower is quite powerful! We thoroughly enjoyed every moment from breakfast l, to propping up the bar for several hours to taking an age to decide on what to eat as the food is so great, it's hard to decide. What we'll miss the most is the staff. So lovely, polite and hardworking. We'll be back in August though. Very minor notes and they are very The way #10 is situated, hearing someone go to the toilet in the next room could disturb your sleep. A friend who looked at the room mentioned that his mother and father may stay here, he commented that there was no hand rail next to the toilet if someone has slight mobility issues as raising themselves off the toilet could be difficult.

I stayed with my daughter 2 nights for mother's day. We stayed in room 7. Fabulous tiles in the bathroom. Room food,staff were all excellent. Will stay again. Very friendly loved the decor. Easy access to visit different places.our lovely mothers day plants was a really nice gesture

A really great place to stay. Staff are friendly and efficient. The room (number 9), was spotless, beautiful new shower room en-suite, very comfortable bed and fully stocked tea and coffee bar. Breakfast was amazing! We had the full English, beautifully presented and delicious. We would highly recommend.

I travel all over the UK staying in mainly country pubs & this one is a great find indeed . Staff very helpful & friendly making you feel very much at home . Great room & food was very good . I will be back for sure . Plenty of parking & just been all refurbished to a high standard .

Stayed for our wedding anniversary in Room 5, beautiful and decorated to high standard. Our meal was off the sample menu , I had the fillet steak which was the best I've had for a long time.Good portions and waitress service very cheerful and helpful. Breakfast very nice also I had the scrambled eggs with salmon which was very tasty and husband had a full breakfast all cooked and tasted good.

We visited here on the off chance of getting a table after visiting Cromer. The place was packed but a member of staff said there was a table available. We ordered fish and chips and ham, egg and chips and thought we would have a wait for food but arrived promptly and was delicious. The chips are lovely and chunky! Staff were friendly and would definitely return back to try the carvery and in the evening.

My friend booked us a table for lunch at The Plough and I must say that the food was amazing. I had the liver and bacon with mash and she had the sausage with mash. It may sound fairly ordinary but it was not the case. The food arrived so well presented. Looked like local produce. Plenty and very tasty. The gravy was delicious. There was stem broccoli, roast parsnip and carrot too. All fresh and colourful. My friend had three large sausages that looked so good. She really enjoyed hers too. The staff were friendly and not over powering. We were in there for a catch up and were not rushed. Toilets were spotless too. I complimented them after we paid. Fantastic faultless meal.

Sunday carvery was absolutely amazing - just like our home cooked roasts but without the hassle. Staff were lovely and considering how busy they were nothing was too much for them ... and plenty of smiles. Will be going again and taking family and friends.
