B&B Hotel Alencon Nord

Vraiment pas fou comme hôtel chambre très petite et loin de tout

This hotel was overpriced for what it offered compared to other budget hotels. Breakfast was very busy but ok. Room however was very dated and not up to standard. The bathroom walk in shower flooded and the lighting was really poor. The biggest issue though was that it was very hot but the air conditioning unit was really loud and wasn’t able to properly cool the room - especially the kids beds which were upstairs - we ended up taking the mattresses downstairs as it was over 30c up there (we managed to get our level down to about 27c). There were also lots of flies in the room (see photo)

Basic accommodation. Good location en route from the Algarve to Calais . Stopped one night , and it does what it says on the tin , although the Air con was very noisy One big flaw , was , the barrier to the car park was up , and no code was supplied , so stayed up overnight . This isn't good for us because we had a lot of belongings in our vehicle ( totally locked up and not visible) but still not practical - or safe enough- for our piece of mind for this stay .

Had one night here on our way through France. The rooms are basic but clean and have all the necessities. We had a family room which includes a mezzanine for the kids beds, the children absolutely loved this. Safe secure parking and right next to a Buffalo Grill or a 2 min drive into Alencon.

This hotel is on the route from Calais to the Algarve, so it's ideal for a one-night stay. It's located on an industrial estate, so there isn't much around it in the way of supermarkets and other facilities. The rooms are quite small, but adequate.

This is a hotel we have used previously but unfortunately there was a change of management and the hotel left a great deal to be desired however since October last year there has been a new manager and what a difference. I did not review last year as I wanted to make sure the change was not a here today gone tomorrow situation - well it is just getting better all the time. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the facilities in the reception area are better (microwave to heat your meal) and the breakfast is very good value. Unfortunately company policy is now no dogs in the breakfast room other than assistance dogs but that is the only downside I could see. There is a Buffalo Grill next to the hotel for dinner and the food is pretty good for a fast food restaurant. Hopefully we will be back in France in June if not sooner and yes we will be staying here again.

Comfortable room and perfectly good dinner and breakfast at a reasonable rate. Plenty of choice on the menu and attentive service. Set in pleasant grounds and dogs welcome. Maybe lacking a little in atmosphere but fine for a budget hotel.

After a long drive this was just what we needed. Greeted by a charming, friendly young man, who gave us a room on the ground floor with our car right outside the door. Couldn't have been better. The room was clean and comfortable, there was a grill almost next door, and by showing we were staying at the hotel we got a reduction there too. The breakfast was very good. In fact everything was just perfect for the weary travelers.

Personne à l'accueil vraiment agréable et souriante, par contre literie immonde et lit énormément bruyant (grincement des planches et ou visserie défectueuse) Très peu dormi de la nuit... Rapport qualité/prix médiocre. Maintenance à revoir.
