Casa Elvira was a nightmare for us on our last visit, a family with three children (13, 3 and 1 year old). I want to mention that it was the third time we visited the location, we knew the host (Oana) quite well. I called and booked a room, I asked for the same room we usually stay in. The price of the room was confirmed on the phone, everything is ok. We arrived late in the evening, ate dinner and retired to the room. I noticed that it was quite cold in the room, but I said that it would warm up along the way. We wanted to take a shower together, but the hot water was not flowing. at the tap, it was cold. I waited for about 10 minutes, the water was still cold. I went down and asked Mrs. Oana why there was no heat and no hot water. At that moment she called Mr. Florin and asked if "it is possible to let go at the central office".....I didn't quite understand what the answer was...but the conclusion was to do your best. I mention that the children had already entered the shower and waited several minutes for the hot water to come...nothing. After more than 1 hour, it was already approaching midnight, we all gave up on washing. I went down again and asked if the heat could at least be turned on....once again I received an uncertain answer...."I think the power plant has started, it will heat up by the morning...????" I repeat that I had 2 small children, 1 and 3 years old, we as adults could endure. In the end we went to bed dressed, because it was too cold in the bedroom in pajamas. The next day at breakfast...we felt like we were refugees, the food served was of poor quality and little, knowing how they eat at Casa Elvira. We asked for some products for us and the children, but we were given a short answer" we don't have any more"...we asked for a simple orange juice for children, which almost any guesthouse/hotel can offer you for breakfast...but instead we were told.."unfortunately we only have water... Hello and water, because we grew up with water. I got over this episode too. The magical moment has come... let's pay... I prepared the money I knew... when, as you can see... we had to pay 450 Ron instead of 350 Ron, as we had agreed on the phone. Curious, I asked how /why ??? Mrs. Oana answering: "you know, everything has become more expensive, gas, electricity...etc..." Ok, I completely agree, but why so from one day to the next, that we had decided something else. Honestly, for us it was not a the problem was to have paid 450 ron, but I actually felt that we were being taken for fools. He probably thought that we were coming from the UK, we don't really know what/how it is with prices in Romania, and anyway 100 ron is not a big difference. I felt the need to mention that I don't have the benefit of hot water to take a shower, the room was cold all night, by the way the little girls got a cold after this episode, the little one was still pretty bad, we adults recovered faster. Finally, I received an answer: "You know, you were the only famil
