The Lakes Resort Cairns

入住了3個晚上，就沒看見任何服務人員，第一天入住晚了，從鑰匙密碼箱裏順利找到了鑰匙，在前台周圍找了半天不知道從哪裡進去園區，還請酒店發的郵件裏寫明白打哪進去，我們夜裡12點了在門口轉悠哪個門都打不開。我們週六退房，準備去庫蘭達，結果早上8點去前台，沒人，6件行李沒地方放，當天晚上要去坐飛機，最後打車帶着行李去坐纜車，幸好纜車的紀念品商店可以寄存行李，度假村環境還可以，就是買瓶礦泉水買不到。

位置比較偏遠，服務不行，沒有電梯，很難叫到車，沒有打掃服務。電吹風壞了沒來修理。

複合リゾート施設内の各棟を滞在型アパートメントホテルとして提供しているので、普通のホテル並みのサービスを期待すると失望すると思います。 サービスは必要最低限で、スターターキットとして提供されるタオルやトイレットペーパーは、汚れたり、なくなったりしたら、自分でクリーニングしたり、トイレットペーパーを購入しなければなりません。 棟によって差があるようですが、私が泊まった部屋は、清掃が行き届きいて清潔でした。 そして、フルキッチン、洗濯室、リビング、ジェットバス付浴室、ベッドルームがあり、広々していて住むように泊まれて快適です。 立地に関しては、中心地からは離れているものの、植物園などの自然に恵まれた良い環境です。 バードウォッチングが目的の私にとっては、最高の立地でした。 なお、レセプションは、17時以降は閉まっています。Trip.comでは18時までとなっていますので、訂正した方がいいと思います。 私もチェックインしようとしたときには閉まっていて誰もおらず、困りました。 そのときは、併設のタイ料理店の親切なスタッフが連絡をとってくれて、無事にセーフティボックスの中にあった鍵と説明書を受け取ることができました。 ちなみに、このタイ料理店は、リーズナブルな価格でとても美味しかったので、このホテルに泊まらなくても行きたいぐらいの良いお店です。

I just got back from a 9 night stay at The Lakes in an Air BnB unit. Check in was easy at the front desk. I'm going to put my review into pros and cons to make it easier Pros: - Wonderful Pools, we used all 3 of them and they all were fantastic, my kids had an absolute ball in the pools - There is no noise to be heard from other guests, the units are extremely well sound proofed from the neighbours which is great - Our unit had a very comfy sofa bed and the pictures were exactly what we got Cons: - Woken at 6am every morning by planes flying over, it is right near the airport and the planes fly directly overhead - VERY loudly! - Stairs, we were on the 2nd floor and that meant there were 5 sets of stairs to climb with luggage in the heat - Some of the owners live at the resort and aren't very friendly - we were told twice with the F word used, to be quiet in the pool at 2pm in the afternoon. Why people live at the pool entrance but don't want pool noise is beyond me - we ignored them and kept letting the kids play as kids do in a pool. - the resort is far from everything, shops, restaurants etc are all a 10 min drive - The car space is extremely tight, you need a compact car or very small SUV to fit, they also for some unknown reason put large skip dump bins all over the very skinny road making it almost impossible to drive down, seriously why are there 10-20 skip bins placed right across the road every 5 metres??? Overall we had a good stay but I can't say i'd stay again - we loved the pools but it's too far from the restaurants for me to stay again.

Double booked & cancelled on us 2 days out of our trip to Cairns, leaving us to scramble to find accommodation for the long weekend. Absolutely disgusting.

Beautiful resort and pool. We had an air b and b which did have a few issues that were not addressed! So maybe book direct but otherwise loads of nice BBQ area around pool. But take your insect repellent. We had lots of stairs which were a bit of an issue for one member of the family so be aware no lifts. Parking is a bit tight Would recommend

The complex is dominantly used as residential accommodation (the strange Australian setup where individuals own units into which some move in, others put theirs into the renting pool, even others airbnb themselves). Parking is difficult to impossible. Some people cannot understand the direction to left and will come the wrong way. Walking dogs inside is forbidden (should be towards entrance/exit only to enter/leave the premises) but many people do just inside with no intention to go outside, and you see the occasional dog output here and there, not to mention that they urinate on every tree multiple times. There is even a slim middle aged woman regularly walking a brown curly dog to the back of the Maraboon building making it defecate there - the same woman was taking photos of cars who park on walkways because the lack of space - so I guess she made formal parking complaints (I had my own car park there, just was astonished that she ignores half of the rules, which she wants and she goes report on the half which she likes. Anyways). There are extreme amount of mosquitos coming at dusk (personal record is 26 bites in 10 minutes). It is called Lakes (I personally felt there like in a mosquito swamp). It was actually built on an area which was swamp originally according to local Uber drivers - so every night you get that typical swamp smell - if you walk a bit around outside then you can see signs saying that it is protected fish area (and you can get even more mozzie bites). Airplanes cross over the establishment so that it is easy to see as gears open and close - with complimentary extreme noise. I am not sure if all buildings are the same - but the one I stayed had some astute onion fryers, so I spent most of the time enjoying that smell, at least twice a day - since the design of units is pretty strange and the smell in these old buildings look to be traveling through sub-ceiling space and vents. Kitchens are in the middle of the building so people have the tendency to ventilate towards the lobby - thermally inefficient and lobby constantly smells like 5 different kitchens mixed.

5 pools to choose from. staff we very helpful. Unit was clean and space full. Very close to airport and not too far from the city, do need a car as bus stop was a bit far for my elderly parents. Parking is available onsite at no extra cost. Would we stay again yes.

We had a two bed unit with three TV's - only two actually worked, there was two sets of cutlery for four people to share, the internet did not work either, there was no means of contacting the office - we visited them three times - first to point out the above and then again next day because nothing had been fixed. After a third visit, a technician arrived who wanted to show me how to fix everything myself. The dirty old clothes left by a prior guest was also a real treat. The acknowledgement by them of their failure was two extra toilet rolls.
