Typic Oasis Sa Tanca

Our stay here really gave us everything we needed. Clean and comfortable rooms, close to the beach and supermarkets with a pool area in case we needed it. The bathroom had a great shower with body wash and hand soap provided. Beds were fine and the black-out options were so effective I couldn’t tell what time it was at all! Kitchen and lounge are is small, but perfectly fine for purpose - and I didn’t see a kettle, but you could boil water on the stove. Sofa is plastic covered but for the best with wet children! Not 5 star but would definitely recommend if you are there to enjoy beaches and the beauty of Ibiza. Breakfast didn’t look amazing, but there are supermarkets close by and Flippers cafe is around the corner. Staff are friendly and they will look after luggage and there are some shower rooms for cleaning off once you have checked out. If you go out of season there is plenty of parking, but should imagine in high season it’s still tricky to get a spot in the hotel car park. Would book again.

Largely had a good experience until the last day. As we were leaving it was brought to my attention by the reception clerk,there had been a smoke burn that had allegedly left a hole in the mattress.(bear in mind this is absolutely unbeknown to us).Myself and my friend were absolutely baffled as we are non smokers. Went up to the room and saw the hole in the mattress,however still perplexed and expressing our frustrations who in turn accused us of having girls round and suggesting they might have caused the damage unbeknownst to us. Anyway having rejogged my activity over the last few days and trying to figure out how the burn had appeared. It came to me that one of their own plates which I warmed for a meal in their microwave,and placed on the bed briefly actually broke in half mid meal which in turn must have caused the burn in the mattress. This was the only possible cause I could think of. To which i tried to to explain to the reception clerk and questioned why is there a plate breaking in half having come out of a mircrowave at reasonable heat.(obviously the plate wasn’t too hot if I’m carrying out from the microwave with my bare hands). So the questions I raised were is your microwave faulty,why is the plate breaking so easily?Anyway I didn’t get any answers other then a 200 euro bill for a single mattress.very very disappointing for many reasons,they presumed alot of things as we younger then the average crowd,and appeared very keen to take my money and not willing to hear our side of the events. They have almost charged me for a full mattress for something i believe I genuinly wasn’t at fault for. Absolutely ridiculous and a joke I feel scammed. I’m in ibiza 3-4 times a year and have never left this dissapointed.

Lovely apartments, a 2 minute walk from the beach, and 5 mins from bars and restaurants. Apartment was very clean and well appointed. Basic kitchen supplies but more than adequate for our purposes. Only downside was our kettle didn’t switch itself off, there were no wine glasses and the balcony chairs were very uncomfortable. Could have supplied washing up liquid sachets too. But beds were comfy and shower room was great. Rooms were cleaned every 2nd day which was fine. Air com broke down on our last night but they can happen anywhere. Massive shout out to the loveliest receptionist ever- the amazing Antonio!! He checked us in and was kind, funny, helpful and went above and beyond in helping make our entire stay very happy. We miss him already! We would definitely stay here again.

My family (2 adults, 8 & 12 year olds) have just returned from our 3rd stay. This year we stayed with another family of friends. We do like to travel and have stayed at some lovely hotels in the past but have realised over the years that our stays at the Sa Tanca are the most relaxing of all and best suited to our family. The resort and beautiful bay are all on the doorstep with Ibiza Town and Santa Eulalia easily accessible and affordable by bus, ferry or taxi. The rooms are comfortable and had everything that we needed. The air con worked perfectly and never let us down. What makes the stay extra special is the staff at both the apartments and S'Aroma. They are all super hardworking and always go above and beyond. Special shout outs to Antonio on reception, Joaquin in S'aroma and Monica who all looked after us during our stay. If there was one suggestion for improvement, it would be some maintenance around the pool area but other than that all perfect! Thankyou for another great holiday. We hope to come back soon!

Beware... this is one of those places that looks great in the photos & somehow gets good reviews (also see: easily pleased British tourists with low expectations) - but couldn't be further from the image portrayed. I'll start with the good points first because honestly, there are so few to mention: the hotel employees (reception we mostly dealt with) were pleasant and helpful, the adjoining cafe does a pretty decent and reasonably priced breakfast, coffee is good, staff also friendly/helpful. The shower was pretty good - strong water flow and nice hot water. Now for the bad points (and oh, where to begin???) First off, our room, despite almost rendering us comatose from the smell of bleach when we first entered, felt grimy and unclean; it was the type of place you didn't want to walk around barefoot. There were hairs everywhere including, unbelievably, stuck to the ceiling of the bathroom (how???) Trying not to look up was a feat in of itself. Our balcony with a view was of the main street and a vacant lot (grass and dirt mostly). We would have kept our balcony door open to admire the urban view except for the fairly constant stench of cigarette smoke wafting into our apartment from the balconies either side of us and/or below. Never mind the fact that we could hear virtually every intimate detail of every conversation on said adjacent balconies (added bonus if they were late-night/early-morning boozers) If we were extra lucky, we could hear them through the bedroom and bathroom walls as well. In case we were feeling noise-deprived there was always the bars located directly (within metres) behind the hotel that stayed open until the early hours (2-3am during the week). Pro Tip: bring your best set of ear plugs and/or heavy duty tranquillisers. The pool area was frankly depressing. I've seen bigger backyard pools and I'm still trying to understand what the attraction is for anyone to spend their entire day on a plastic sunbed lying around a concrete pit of water when there's a reasonably nice beach a few minute's walk away. Cala Llonga itself is ok...nothing special - a few small restaurants, cafes. bars etc. We spent all day every day out, for as long as we could, exploring Ibiza in our rental car so as to spend as little time in our room as possible. The kitchenette was basic but functional, however unlike most places with similar faciliaties, Typic Oasis Sa Tanca doesn't consider the supply of a couple of very basic (cheap) fundamentals such as a few sachets of dishwashing liquid and a dishcloth or sponge, necessary. If you want to use the room safe (a necessity imho), you have to pay for it!!! All in all, one of the worst 6 nights we've spent anywhere in terms of the actual accommodation. Definitely one to forget.

L’appartamento è semplice ed essenziale ma comodo con i bambini sopratutto perché la spiaggia di Cala Llonga è raggiungibile a piedi. La spiaggia è molto grande e attrezzata, l’acqua a riva è bassa e ci sono tanti bar vicino per tutte le tasche. Peccato per lo scarico a mare che sporca l’acqua in maniera evidente in diversi momenti della giornata.
