Smy Tahona Fuerteventura

The accommodation needs updating and needs TLC until they get round to it. It is very clean, staff are friendly and happy to help. where we had fridge and kettle need to have double plug, they was quick and gave me a extension lead to use both together. it a shame bar inside not opened as we had windy nights and we was sat pool bar with patio heaters on which i didnt do. Lovely that in your accommodation you are told about put your towels down around the pool, that they get removed if not being used so no blocking sunbeds. could do with some paperwork for you to keep on your visit on what time you choice for meals and also what time snacks available on the all inclusive. It a lovely touch that you get a towel for you to use at the pool i not been to hotel that gives you them.. Food is good for a 3star only thing would be a problem in higher season is only 1 toaster in dining room. I full enjoyed my stay here. I would stay here again.. YOU ALL SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOURSELF XX I know people have put about road outside but the hotel can not be held responsible for this as it down to council..

Arrived very late Sunday evening due to air delays but was greeted by a gentleman who had stayed on to wait for us to arrive to show us to our room spent a lot of time around the pool always managed to get a sun lounger some people don’t stick to rules though as there was a lot of sun beds took up for hours with no one actually using them just put there towels on and off out they went even though in the room there’s a card in the room stating you couldn’t do this it happened a lot Food was a very good range of meals for us personally and the pool snack bar was always topped up From the reception to the bar staff to the dining staff were all very pleasant always there to help if needed with some staff even joining visitors on a night out The only sort of let down was the entertainment there wasn’t really any enthusiasm in entertainment staff but all in all we had a very pleasant stay met some new friends within the hotel and will certainly be returning next yr Thank you all at SMY Tahona fuetraventura for a great week which was also celebrations for my wife’s 40th birthday

We had a Fantastic stay at the Tahona last week. The room was spacious and cool with the window and doors open. The buffet was good with plenty to choose from. The staff were welcoming and polite. It was less than a 10 minute walk to the beach. I would recommend the Tahona and we are looking to return next year.

I stayed at this hotel for a week with my partner. Cleanliness: Our room was up one flight of stairs. It was cleaned daily (apart from day after arrival and day before departure as per the signs say). Fresh towels were provided and beach towels but I am not sure the floors were cleaned. The room is very basic, one small fridge and a kettle. There were sockets hanging off the walls which could have been dangerous. The bathroom was large, separate front room and bedroom.  No air con in the rooms but fans were provided. My hair dryer broke whilst away but when I spoke to reception I could borrow one. There was a large terrace for the room with a table and chairs provided.  Pool: The pool was on the small size and the temperature wasn't too bad. There is only a tiny child's section. The pool area is cleaned daily and chained off which is good however you can't get around the pool until at least 9am (official hours are 10am-6pm). This was a bit irritating as I don't sleep in late and quite like to go down early, lay on a sunbed and read which I obviously couldn't do. There is a sunbed policy (like most hotels), if you reseve a sunbed and then disappear for a period of time your towels are removed. This policy is great however we were scared that if we needed to pop up to he room to get something or went for a quick lunch we would lose our spot. The sun bed policy was only enforced when they felt like it. Also every morning before the pool opens there are people waiting for sunbeds because there is only a small number of new sunbeds and some of the old sunbeds are broken. Additionally, guests who have visited for several years climb the chain and reserve sunbeds whilst the pool is being cleaned and the staff don't do anything about it! It appears they have more rights due to how often they frequent the hotel.  Bar: There are 2 bars in the hotel but only one was ever open with one member of staff which for an all inclusive hotel meant there was regularly a large queue at the bar. Additionally, the bar staff had to do other things such as collect chairs, make pizzas so the bar was not always attended.  The bar man (I think his name is Michael) was friendly but the others seemed miserable. There is a token policy in place where you are given a token at the beginning of your holiday and you exchange that for a cup at the bar to get a drink. The hotel say it's so they don't end up having to collect a load of empty cups but I feel it is more to stop all inclusive people getting drinks for half board guests etc which I understand but they should be more honest! The policy is also annoying because I finished my drink and went to the bar to get another drink, I asked my partner if he wanted a drink but because he still had some drink I couldn't get him a refill. There is a good variety of drinks behind the bar including slush, spirits, beer, soft drinks etc.  Food: The food is basic all inclusive food. Breakfast was the best meal with a good variety and fr
