Globales Santa Lucia - Adults Only 18

We moved here from the globales palmanova palace and these hotels are black and white in comparison. The decor is tasteful and modern with new clean furniture, the beds comfortable and the rooms and hotel grounds are impeccable. The food here us definitely world's apart too. I'm sure globales hotels all use the same supplier so I'm confused as to why the palmanova palace food is terrible but the santa Lucia is amazing. After moving to this hotel we very rarely ate out, however at the prior hotel we had to eat out at every meal. If you are considering this hotel it is well worth the extra money

Positives: Great location - next to the beach with plenty of shops, bars, places to explore nearby. Good selection of food Good selection of soft drinks The sun beds were cushioned Fresh towels daily All rooms have a sea view Negatives: Food isn’t labelled correctly on the buffet so we played guess the meat most nights. ‘Cocktails’, wine and most of the alcoholic beverages aren’t great. We ended up buying cocktails at a local bar instead. Not what you expect when paying all inclusive prices. The staff at the bar and reception were borderline rude most of the time for some reason. We didn’t even get an explanation of how things worked and where things were when we got there.

This hotel is listed as a 4 star and on initial appearance it is but in reality it's not. It's on the beach and is nice to wake up to the sea view. Its great that's is adults only...nice to not have kids running about. The hotel is super clean and the cleaning staff keep it seamlessly so. The reception staff leave little to be desired everything seems to be a chore for them they can't even muster a smile. They know nothing even where the TIC is! The rooms are ok sized with a TV and Fridge. Decent sized bathroom and one size fits all washing product. Storage was good and kettle facilities but tiny cups...bring your own mug. We belatedly were given a coffee machine part way through our stay. Don't be fooled into paying extra for a sea view room as they all have them. Now the food... Breakfast is good and varied and is enjoyable and fresh. Oddly you can only get juice in the mornings which if like me you are tee-total doesn't give you much choice. Lunch and dinner are another story whilst the salad bar is fresh and there are differing bits it's the same daily. The main foods are basically taking your life in your hands as you have no idea what you are eating as the labelling is atrocious to say the least and what is not used is regurgitated the next meal or day. Definitely not 4 star food. Pudding/ Dessert are wow next level disgusting and same every day...every day. The staff are nice in the restaurant and work tirelessly. The spa was closed and turns out not going to open anytime soon as the person running had left but no notice was put out...I had to ask. The heated pool they turned off the heat randomly....it was freezing cold but was still classed as winter when we were there...super disappointing as this was one of the things that drew us to the hotel. I wouldn't stay here again but Palma Nova is a nice area to stay at...the boardwalk is great in both directions.
