Universal Hotel Cabo Blanco - Adults Only

We have a fantastic experience here only AC problem that the hotel can’t fix it for us. Long story short, at night it’s cold and the hotel has changed the AC to hot ONLY! We can’t sleep because it’s too hot for us and we needed to open the door of the terrace for all night to cool the room down to sleep. We informed the staff and she told us that she can’t do anything for us because it’s control all of the AC in the hotel so she recommended us to open the main door and the terrace door for the wind to keep the temperature down and it worked perfectly. So 2 nights that we needed to sleep with the door open but it was a fantastic experience still! Thanks for the staff that trying to fix the problem and make the situation better.

Very nice location with great facilities for relaxing in the sun. Great restaurant for breakfast, dinner more underwhelming. Brilliant staff in reception and bar. Be prepared for closing and light off at 11 p.m.

magnificant seaview; very clean and quiet room with excellent bed/matresses; excellent and plentiful breakfast which can be enjoyed on the terrace; superb food for dinner (you should choose the typical Majorcan menu navigation) with sunset view; very attentive and friendly stuff

I love this hotel, so forgive me if my review is a bit gushing! And sorry for the length too! Everything about this place is good, but it's the staff who really make it stand out. Every single person we encountered, from bar and restaurant staff to cleaning and maintenance people, was friendly and helpful. Food: breakfast is an all you canneat buffet and has a wide variety. Most of the guests are German so you can expect a good selection of cold meats (the local cameiot is my favourite) and cheeses, and lots of different types of bread. Also plenty of fresh fruit (including the best oranges I've ever eaten), typical cooked breakfast with deliciously crispy bacon, an omelet station where they will make you an omelet to order, a couple of types of cereal. The cooked breakfast had a couple of surprises .. brussels sprouts one day, churros the next. Coffee is from a machine, and if you hunt you'll find the one which does decaff. Dinner is a multi-course affair. First is the extensive salad buffet, next you choose from 2 soups (one hot and one cold .. don't miss the salmorejo), then you choose from.a couple of starters, then your choice of main, and finish with dessert buffet. No coffee. Our room (108) had a balcony with a sea view .. I think all the rooms probably do face the sea. Very clean and comfortable. Occasional water pressure issues to be expected in such a dry place. Pod coffee machine in the room, pods (aka capsules) from reception at €1 each. Safe in the room was free. Fridge in the room too. Pool always immaculate and warm. Good poolside shower was very welcome too. Thick towels available from reception for a deposit (which they take off your final bill). We actually spent more time at the beach than the pool .. sandy beaches a short walk away. Some have quite a thick click of black seaweed at the ahoreline ... just move on to the next bit of beach for clear turquoise water which is seawees free. Beware a few rocks under the sandy floor .. you can see them through the clear water so make sure you pay attention and dont stub your toe! They are environmentally conscious with a refillable glass caraf in the room for filling from the chiller in reception, also refillable glass water bottles for €3.50 in the restaurant (you don't get to keep the bottle .. that's extra. And you can't bring your own water to the restaurant). They change neither bedding nor towels unless you signal that you want them to.

Cabo Blanco has the beat staff anywhere. Friendly and helpful and really make you feel like you're someone special.

Fabulous relaxing adults only hotel with friendly staff. Great breakfast with lots of options. Would definitely recommend. Only drawback is that there are no private parking spaces or garage but fabulous nonetheless.

It was a very pleasent stay. The whole stuff is extremely friendly. The room was very nice too. We only booked breakfast, which turned out to be a mistake since there aren‘t a lot of good restaurants near. We had dinner 3x at the hotel and it was excellent! Very good food. The only thing I personally didn‘t like was that the shower walls were transparent and there was no door to the bathroom. I was on holiday with my parents and i felt quite uncomfortable being fully exposed naked in the shower. I guess it‘s more of a couple resort tho.

We stayed 11 nights in the hotel. The lobby has a nice interior and the reception staff is very friendly, especially Montse. The check in and check out was very good. The breakfast offers hot and cold dishes. Maybe you can add some fresh fruit like fresh cut watermelon, grapes, banana etc. Not only kiwi and grapefruit. There is a good variety of bread. The view from the room and the pool are amazing. Direct sea view. Only 10 minutes by foot to the lovely beach es trenc. You can get fresh towels every day at reception and even umbrellas for the beach. Also it is convenient to fill the water bottle every day. Housekeeping is very friendly and they clean the room very well. Every day everything was spotless clean. If we needed some some body lotion we got it on the spot. The hotel lobby pool side etc is as well very clean. Regarding the room: the standard room is small, it has a very good AC, the bathroom is missing a shelve to put the toiletries. The rubbish bin in the bathroom needs replacement it is rusted. The balcony is very spacious. The gym is outdated. The bar staff needs to be trained. Every time there was something wrong with the order. Either something missing or something was mixed up like we wanted Cava with orange juice but we got beer with orange juice ? The sunsets from the beach directly in front of the hotel are amazing. The breakfast waiters are very smily and friendly. I think it is a bit too much to ask one Euro for a print out of two pages on recycled paper. We will recommend the hotel since the location is perfect and the staff very friendly.
