Blu Hotel Morisco

Negatives : Our room had an outside sit down *view* of a brick wall, we & the Jet2REP complained to no avail. I had to place a chair on a table to have a sit down view. Another British couple complained and they were given another room. The room telephone was broke for our whole stay { 14 nights }. We were on the top floor & the lift was broken on most days of our stay. A Chef that was bizarrely cutting up/ serving a fish in the restaurant one evening using 2 forks flicked food over his shoulder as He was serving it. We were 1/2 board plus this meant we had a complimentary 120€ per room for drinks at the hotel bar but the drinks were very expensive, eg, single whisky and lemonade 10€ so we didn't spend much time at the hotel bar. The hotel had mainly German guests, don't know why but worth mentioning. One German woman asked me to talk quietly on my phone one day by the outdoor swimming pool but was was very loud herself inside the hotel which i found strange. The night time entertainment by the pool was quite poor, a Sardinian Elvis impersonator mostly playing an organ ,so bad it was almost good. I sent a short video to my sister-in-law and she said that she would try to drown herself in the pool if she was staying there. Positives:- Room was spacious and clean with fresh towels every day. Jet2 reps were ALL very nice, friendly, helpful and hard working. Resort was really nice especially Arzachena { must see church / steps }. Red and white wine or water was free with meals inside the restaurant. Summary :- I wouldn't go to this hotel again as I only booked because the advert shows all the balconies with nice views. Our room had no seated outdoor view and for 14 evenings / nights that was very poor indeed.

We have just enjoyed a 7 night break at the Blu Morisco on a half board plus basis via Jet2. We were impressed with the friendliness of the staff, reception and bar staff were all lovely and aim to please. Our room was cleaned every day and the air conditioning was working well throughout our stay. You are allocated a table for dinner in the restaurant which you keep for your entire stay. At breakfast you can sit wherever. We found all the food to be really nice. Plenty of cereals, fruits, yoghurts, croissants, toast, plus usually bacon and scrambled eggs at breakfast. Dinner usually had several options of meat or fish dishes plus pasta dishes and risotto. Breakfast is available from 7.30am to 10am and dinner from 7.30pm to 9pm. Examples of prices at the bar (Sept 2023) are 5.50 euros for a large beer and 5 euros for a glass of white wine.

We had a lovely week at the Blu Hotel Morisco and couldn’t fault our room, the quality and variety of the food or the drink prices. Colleagues across reception, housekeeping, bar and restaurant were very friendly and polite. It was also great to see the hotel embracing diversion and inclusivity in the workplace by employing two colleagues with severe learning difficulties - beautiful Martina and her friend Max 😊

Staff was friendly, the room was clean and had everything you needed. I would stay again.

We had a fantastic holiday in Sardinia, and Cannigione is ideally situated. Hotel accommodation was good as was the catering which offered lots of choice for both breakfast and evening meals. The Pool was excellent and very clean. The only negative factors were that the air conditioning in the rooms did not work that well and not at all for two days, but in the evening there was a nice breeze if you left the balcony doors open. You are provided a card on arrival to purchase drinks and snacks which you pay for at the end of the stay. We were informed on arrival that we would have €120 credit due to having the half board package. Unfortunately on leaving,the hotel would not deduct €120 from our bill as we did not book through Jet 2 holidays. Please bare this in mind if you are informed of this credit on arrival.

Last minute choice as our holiday to Sicily was cancelled so we were limited with only have a couple of days to sort something. The hotel is in a really good location, pool and pool area was good, ALL the staff were friendly and it was an exceptional cleaning service every day. Delicious cocktails too. Market outside the hotel every Monday which was good to wander around. We would have preferred breakfast only but our package included half board plus, we only ate here 3 times as we preferred to experience the local culture instead of the noisy / busy eating area of the hotel, also lots of fish / seafood on the menu which isn’t what we like to eat. Air conditioning very poor (not working at all for a couple of the days we were there which was unbearable), Wi-Fi was good and an issue we did have was resolved quickly. Nice gesture to have some euros already loaded on a card to use around the hotel for snacks / drinks. Would say it’s more a 3/4 hotel.

This hotel does not have well functioning air condition in the rooms, so if an ac in the room is important to you as a guest- you should NOT book this hotel. They claimed it was only due to the “high temperatures” at the time but honestly, it didn’t even work on days when it wasn’t as hot and also during the nighttime when it’s cooler outside. We had to buy our own fan for our room. Can you imagine? For a 4 star hotel, having to buy your own fan because no one is able to sleep because of the heat?? Ridiculous! We paid €2500 for one week without working air condition. I find it so bad that a hotel like this is not honest in their advertisement, without taking any responsibility then to have happy guests. Had I known the ac wouldn’t work, we wouldn’t have booked this hotel. I feel we were tricked and later when asked for reasonable compensation, they denied us. Apart from that though, the pool and location is great, and we all liked the breakfast buffet. Most of the staff are really nice and helpful as well.

Not 4 star. The best thing about this hotel is the location, within walking distance of bars, shops and restaurants. The hotel needs a refurbishment in terms of its rooms. Sofa bed torn, sink plug broken, air conditioning ineffective and just not finished to a standard that would make it a 4 star. Staff were average but the maids did a good job cleaning the room.

Nice furnished hotel! Director, Chef, Maître and all Staff were nice and helpful! Room was clean and perfect for 4 pax with a nice pool view, there was all you need Tv, A/C, blinds everything works properly and Wi-Fi ! Food was good and abundant and breakfast always superb! The hotel location is a must, basically you can walk everywhere to the village and the close beach! In 20 minutes car all the best beaches and glamorous villages! Not priced hotel, definitely worth a shot!
