Studio 6 Carlsbad, CA

It was a peaceful trip to the Studio 6 hotel. All employees were very helpfull especially the pretty lady at the front desk in the morning. She was really helpful. I would recommend STUDIO 6 to all.

I loved the room size and the layout of the room ( a good use of space). We had a uncovienance of no hot water for several days. I asked for a consideration if at least a day of computation. I did get a discount for the next two days of a 10 0/0 more than my original discount through *******; although, I could have maintained the same discount if I had booked several days in advance. I'm also sad that after staying several days that the only thing I think about every few days is that the front desk may be upset that I'm not there right at 11:00. I have always booked online. The can see that my intention are to stay on with my stay. Otherwise with the exception of the attitude I get then I bring my room rent. It would have been nice to know when they had a problem with hot water; it was expected to last for 2 to 3 days. I rented a room at a motel 6 near by to shower and get ready for a very important appointment. It would awesome to get that back at the very least. If the water thing did not happen then I would say it is affordable for a long stay, like I said before the rooms are spacious and the grounds are kept up. It could use a bit of a face lift and a deep cleaning in the hall ways. Most of all I would love to see smiling faces on the other side of the counter when I pay my room rent.

There water heater went out and had no warm water for half our stay but we did get a reimbursement. They also tried to fix it but due to the holidays it couldn't happen overall great experience.

This hotel could be nice if it was clean and better maintained. The mattresses were comfortable. The rooms are equipped with a kitchenette.

When we arrived, the guy at the front desk was on his phone and clearly did not want to be bothered to check us in. He looked at me like, "what?". He gave us a room next to a back exit door. I've been listening to that door slam periodically throughout the night. The smoke detector in our room has been chirping all night. I tried to drown it out with my sound machine. After the rude interaction at check-in, I didnt want to call up front for assistance with it. This place is conveniently located to Legoland. Thats why I chose it. It's a decent hotel, but it's definitely been a rough visit.

I wasn’t expecting too much at a Motel 6 and I generally slept OK. But, I was surprised about how run down the place looks. When we arrived the front entrance has garbage cans on both sides that were overflowing with trash. Inside the hotel itself, the carpets in the hallways look like they haven’t been cleaned in ages. In the morning near the elevator there are piles of garbage left by what seems to be extended staying guests. The room itself was generally clean, but smelled musty making me worry about when the last time the carpet was cleaned in there. Having visited other motel 6’s where they’ve upgraded to laminate flooring instead of carpet makes me wonder why they don’t do it here. Bottom line, it was an OK place to crash for the night, shower, and get out… but definitely not a place I would want to stay any longer than necessary.

I liked the spacious rooms, the staff was good for the most part,meaning some were helpful

Shower water doesn’t get hot. The heater didn’t work and my room was freezing and the “blanket” for the bed was a paper thin sheet so i froze at night. Good luck cooking, the cooking vent doesn’t work and the fire alarm for the whole hotel went off when someone tried to cook at midnight smoking up the entire second floor and setting off the alarm for a good hour in the night. I tried to cook on the grill outside, all three of them were nasty and didn’t work at all. Someone pissed in the stairway, it smelled nasty for days. They say no smoking but everyone in this place smokes and it comes through the room so be ready to sleep to that smell. The wifi goes in and out. Do not stay here, it was a fever dream.

After moving room’s because our original room was not ready, our room was very dirty. The bedspread was extremely dirty with large stains on it, and The carpet looked like it belonged in a garage. We’ve stayed here several times and this was our worst experience. Doubt we’ll be back
