B&B Stesicoro InHabit - City Center

We arrived at midnight in the rain. Taxi dropped us off at the back alley which was a bit shock to us. However the interior of the room is nice. But the shower door doesn’t close properly. The B&B is located on the 2nd floor. No lift. Just be aware if you have a big luggage.

Excellent boutique guesthouse . Clean and modern room with good bed. The location was perfect, It is in a quiet and pleasant safe area. We had breakfast at the cafe and it was delicious with a varied menu and served quickly by friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely recommend this guesthouse at any occasion if you’re in Catania.

Excellent location on Via Etna facing Stesicora square. The entrance is in via Neve a narrow side road off via Etna ( it is not an alley way ) . Metro 200metres up the road . Tourist buses operate right outside. Fabio arranged airport pickup for us . We were met at airport and when we arrived in Stesicora square someone was waiting for us . They took our case and directed us to the property. Yes there are a lot of stairs up to the hotel but it’s a very old building. We’re in our 60s and managed the stairs several times a day . Believe me once you enter you’ll be more than happy to climb them every day . The hotel has been tastefully decorated to a high standard.Large room with all amenities. Fabio is an excellent host . He speaks faultless English. And he goes over and beyond to make your stay the most pleasurable it can be . He is very experienced in hospitality. And it shows . He is very proud of the hotel and so he should be . For breakfast you receive a voucher daily to use in cafe Scardaci opposite the hotel .This works really well . There’s a great choice of sweet and savouries . And of course excellent coffee . We’d highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Catania. And would definitely stay again if we return to Sicily .

We stayed for four nights and had a wonderful stay, the bed was so comfortable,soft luxurious linen. The room was clean and had everything you needed, loved the design and the balcony . The staff couldn’t do enough for you, very attentive and professional. Also, Daniel helped me with my luggage to be brought upstairs. I would definitely return and recommend the hotel.

Spacious and clean room in a great location. Fantastic view of the city. Staff were helpful and friendly. Good local breakfast. There is not elevator, you will need to take stairs (no more than 1/2 flights).

Watch out for this nightmare! The SCARY back entrance has NO SIGNS. No short-term parking is possible to unload luggage. The ELEVATOR to the 4th floor where the rooms are located WAS NOT WORKING. The ENTRANCE STINKS like hell! We insisted someone would come down to help us. The guy told us the elevator is not working, the place is being remodeled and we better look for another Hotel. We were told Stesicoro would not charge us on our credit card, I asked twice. THAT WAS NOT TRUE, STESICORO charged us for the full 2 days. No one from STESICORO would answer the phone, WhatsApp, or emails.

Great central location. Room clean and basic. No safe, or amenities other than shower gel, soap tea bags (no milk) kettle, cups and a small fridge. Plenty of storage in the wardrobe for a few nights stay. Bathroom basic answer shower fairly small. Pillows comfy, but bed quite hard. You are in a central location, so noisy at night. Breakfast is over the road in the cafe, but great coffee and cake options (Sicilian style) This hotel doesn’t have a lift, so there’s 53 steepish steps to get to the hotel level. It’s an old building, so the pluming reflects that and therefore the toilet and shower are noisy as is the bathroom fan. There’s always someone on site and you also have a WhatsApp number for any issues, where there’s good communication in English if needed. We had an issue with the wifi and hot water, both were sorted quickly.

Don’t underestimate the outside does Not reflect on your stay and the inside. We had a pleasant stay and the staff were nice and accommodating. The wi fi was not the best, it was said this is being updated.

The reviews about the entrance to this B&B and the amount of steps to climb (I counted 52) didn’t put me off booking! Yes, the alleyway was grubby, full of rubbish and smelt of pee BUT don’t let this put you off. Once inside this little place was just perfect for my 5 night stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was good (although if I had stayed for longer and carried on eating all the delicious food I fear I would not have managed to squeeze into the shower cubicle!) I had booked a balcony room overlooking the Main Street, perfect to sit and people watch whilst having my morning coffee and evening wine. Yes, it was a little noisy but it’s a Main Street, it’s to be expected and it certainly didn’t disturb my sleep. I used my breakfast voucher for the cafe across the street on the first day for my coffee and croissant but didn’t bother after that. It was always so busy at the time I went and there weren’t many tables. I would take a stroll to Duomo Square instead and buy a coffee and pastry for €3.50. Not a complaint, just my preference! This B&B was well situated and an easy stroll ti many places of interest. It’s also close to the daily market which is huge and worth taking a look at. I would definitely stay here again if I ever went back to Catania
