Cresta Palace Hotel

We stayed for a week in a double room classic with balcony (2nd floor), and had an excellent experience. The views from the north-facing room of the Trais Fluors are amazing. Breakfast was very good, and the hotel service was excellent. The room was sufficiently large, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a bathtub, and there's a minibar in the room. It's possible to enter and exit the hotel through the back door that leads to the parking lot and to the Celerina-Marguns gondola (using the room key/card). The gondola is around a five-minute walk from the hotel. The pool is very nice (what looks like a jacuzzi near the pool doesn't have hot water...). Some downsides: 1. If the window is open, during the day the train can be heard (not very loud). At night it's completely quiet. Probably not an issue in the south-facing rooms 2. There's only under-floor heating in the bathroom, and it's not warm enough 3. There's no underground parking 4. The in-room safe is too small for a laptop

From check-in to suggestions, meals and spa treatments, were all of the highest and unpretentious standards of attention and service. Highly appreciated were the room upgrade and friendly sincere greetings from the room service to the front desk, making one feel at home always. The decor is relaxing and à propos in every area.

This is the second time we stayed at Cresta Palace and I can only highly recommend this hotel. The newly renovated rooms are excellent, at par with most 5 star hotels in St. Moritz, and the service is exceptional, be it in the restaurant or in the reception. It's walking distance to the Celerina cable car, so no need to move the car or take a shuttle, which is not the case for most of the other hotels.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Cresta Palace and would highly recommend the hotel to anyone who is looking for a perfect stay in the St Moritz/ Celerina area. The whole team were World Class; professional, knowledgeable, helpful and welcoming. They went out of their way to make my stay memorable. The hotel is very grand and in the perfect location for skiing/ mountain biking/ walking and of course relaxing; with its large gardens and numerous bars and restaurants. The train station is a two minute walk and the gondola just 5 minutes. The facilities are exceptional- with a dedicated spa and gym (with great exercise/yoga classes) and a wonderful pool with jacuzzi, jets and sun-loungers. I stayed for 5 weeks and the whole team really made me feel at home. Special mention to the wonderful Front Office team; Luca, Nicklas, Vanessa (et al) and the fantastic breakfast team; Antonia, Alessandra, Cosmo…. And Mario, and Liv, and Uwe…and the fabulous house-keeping team and the delightful Sabrina at the Thai restaurant (which serves top-notch authentic Thai)…and so many more (sorry I can’t remember everyone’s names). I travel regularly and have never been treated so kindly. Everyone seemed so genuine in their hospitality. I believe it is the people who make a hotel successful. Just to add; if it is your first time in the Engadine region, St Moritz may be the most well known town, but I would definitely recommend Celerina as the much prettier town with far more soul and beauty than St Moritz. It’s all magic! Stunning location. Beautiful village with Mountain Views all around. Fantastic walks. Hotel charming. Staff friendly, hard working and multi lingual. Swimming pool so inviting. One odd thing. Afternoon Tea is available. Cakes free but 18 SF for three cups of tea! I thought that a bit mean. Would love love love to go again.

The Cresta Palace has several restaurants. We didn’t stay at this hotel but just came for having some dinner. One of the hotel restaurants by the name “Dine around” has a beautiful terrace and a garden lounge at which we dined during a lovely summer evening. The staff is super friendly and the food very good. Wiener Schnitzel was tasteful, so was the red wine Chianti from Tuscany. The desert Vanilla crème brûlée was outstanding and not too sweet. All together a dining great experience.

Just got back from a unbelievable stay at the Cresta palace we have been to the Engadin a couple of times but this was by far our best stay it was so comfortable and enjoyable the staff when out of their way to please us- we also had some special needs and they took such amazing care of us I would recommend it to everyone and cant wait to come back soon

We've just returned home from a lovely week in Cresta Palace in Celerina. The room was a bit simple (they are going to renovate most of the rooms still this year) but very functional and extremely clean (complimenti and thanks to the very efficent cleaning ladies!). The food was maybe not always at the top level, but it was certainly a fair value for what we've paid (always a good and a very fresh produce) and there were many possibilities to choose the cuisine (the dine-around concept - good Asian stuff!). The bar has a wonderful selection of very payable drinks, the same applies to the wine selection. Spa is a bit small but again absolutely fine and it fulfills its purpose. What is very special is the staff (well chosen by the management) - everybody was extremely nice, helpful and genuinely cordial. Insomma siamo molto contenti e pensiamo di ritornare presto. Mille grazie ancora per Vostra ospitalita - é stata veramente una bella sperienza nella Cresta Palace!

Celerina is such a charming village in the Upper Engadin and the Cresta Palace definitely belongs on our list of favourite hotels in Switzerland. Dating back from the turn of the last century, this Art Nouveau style hotel offers an appealing combination of traditional and more contemporary comforts which we thoroughly enjoyed during our stay. After a day of skiing, we felt very cosy sitting in the old world elegant deep sofas in the lounge, sampling cakes and coffee whilst listening to the cheerful music played by the in-house pianist. After this, we could relax in the state-of-the-art spa area, which is tastefully designed to meet and exceed all expectations. We even took part in yoga classes on a few mornings which was quite a highlight. Thank you Cresta Palace for including this activity -it was perfect. The staff in the hotel, spa and restaurants are discreetly attentive and add to the overall impression that the hotel is exceptionally well managed. We are already looking forward to our next stay
