The breakfast buffet is way too crowded. I had to miss it both the days I stayed at.

Great hotel. Just outdoor areas usually locked or not ready to use for breakfast. Otherwise was really lovely.

We had an excellent experience at the Hotel. Staff are very kind , the place is very pleasant , rooms are also very nice . We also enjoyed dinner there, that was good too. I highly recommend this hotel for everyone .

This was my third or fourth stay in this hotel, and the best so far. In the past I have found the mattresses hard, but this time they gave some more bedding to cushion it and I had a great sleep. As always the facilities are top notch and immaculate. I love the spa and pool area and staff very attentive. Breakfast amazing, as usual, and for this price you cannot even get a two or three star hotel in Europe and this is one of the best hotels you can stay in! My only quibble is that the music on in the lobby \ lounge area is a bit repetitive and loud. I love Indian classical music and play it at home, but the droning sound all the time can be a bit uncomfortable, esp the flute sound. I don't see ***y people sitting around in what is a stunning area. The bar is also incredible and the gardens are great. So quiet at night and slept so well. Highly recommend. Prices can vary quite a lot so worth checking periodically.

We loved The Leela Palace Hotel. One of the best hotels in India, and perhaps in the world. This is the place to stay in Chennai.

The hotel is beautiful! The view from the lobby is a dream. Also the pool area provides a serene backdrop for lounging around. My complaints are the quality of the food during large events, the service provided by some workers, and an odor in our room. We stayed over the New Year holiday. On our first day, we enjoyed an excellent meal in the buffet restaurant. However, after that, the food got way more expensive (holiday prices) and the quality diminished considerably. Food was cold and under seasoned. Thankfully, on our last day, the holiday dining was over, so we got to enjoy another good meal before leaving. While ***y workers seemed kind and willing to help, the person who checked us in stood out as one of the workers who did not. The whole process felt rushed and his general affect did little to make us feel welcome. There were some dining room attendants who also approached us like this. However, there were also some workers who went above and beyond to accommodate us, like a front desk employee who spent nearly 15 minutes helping me wrap my saree, or the kind women who greeted us inside of the lobby each day. Another helpful worker was one of the front desk ***agers, who put in a lot of effort to try to make our stay a good one. We noticed a mildew odor in our room and shared this complaint. The issue was never completely resolved, but the ***ager did offer us a new room (a hassle for us) use dehumidifier and fresheners to fix our room, and checked in daily.

The staff and service was great.

My wife and Kids went for a vacation and they loved the place. Its very comfortable and conveniently located for various activities. Only complaint is they felt the food tasted "just ok" but "very expensive"!!

Fabulous staff who literally treated us like royalty - we were waited on hand and foot. Dining options are delicious. Hotel itself is immaculate and the design of the hotel and rooms is spectacular.
