Rico Resort

Amazing place. A hidden paradise where you can really relax. Very nice rooms, the sweetest manager who took such good care of us! Strongly recommend this place and don’t miss the omelett for breakfast! We only had a night here but we will be back!

We just spent another few days with Rico and Emmy at Rico's Resort in Chiang Kham. As always, it was a peaceful, relaxing experience. We went biking, swimming, played tennis, and had great conversations over evening meals.

The phrase - “arrive as guests leave as family” certainly applies to this resort. The welcome is so warm from Rico, Deer and Ami and you are made to feel like a VIP from the moment you walk through the door. Rooms and bathrooms are very large and spacious with big windows. We loved our balcony seating overlooking the lake sunsets. We really enjoyed our 2 bike tours with Rico and Deer - seeing temples, old style weaving and the strangest house ever 😃 Rico has lived in this area for many years so knows and talks to everyone on the trips. Deer and Rico are so friendly, funny and engaging - so enthusiastic and keen for you to have the best time. Deer will also provide professional tennis coaching if needed on the superb courts. The range and quality of Ami’s and her teams food is exceptional and we really looked forward and enjoyed every single meal. Sad to leave here and hope to get back . Well done Rico - you have built an exceptional place !

This resort is a great local and peaceful place. We immediately felt the calm atmosphere when we arrived. We were greeted with welcoming hands and even got to choose our own room! They have very big and bright rooms on the first floor or the ground floor! Everything is locally made (even the coffee!) You can rent bikes and explore the beautiful landscapes! They also have two tennis courts. I would definitely recommend this resort if you are looking for a peaceful, quiet escape from the city! Xx Anna

We stayed for a couple of nights while on a two week bike tour in Northern Thailand, what a beautiful place to spend a rest day! We loved everything here. The rooms were very large and spacious and beautifully decorated, no tv - we only noticed due to the large size of the room and never turn it on during our holidays. The setting was amazing, so peaceful, set in beautiful grounds a couple of kms walk from the town, it was so nice and relaxing sitting outside on the large terrace in such a beautiful setting. We had breakfast and dinner, we were so utterly spoilt with some of the best home cooking by Evi and her amazing team. They really took great care of us and would very happily have spent an extra night, As mentioned, it’s a couple of kms from the town, they have plenty of bikes available for guest use but we preferred to walk as we had time to visit the temples and Thai Lu house and a nice restaurant for lunch. Would definitely return and make a special detour as it was so relaxing. Thank you again to Evi and the team for making our stay so memorable.

Das Resort wunderschön, grosszügig gebaut und verfügt über gepflegte grosse Räume. Das Gastgeber-Paar ist sehr herzlich, hilfsbereit und bietet feines Essen an. Rico hat eine Fahrrad-Tour mit uns gemacht, wir sind duch die Natur gefahren und haben viel interessantes erfahren. Auch haben wir Chiang Kham besucht, hatten Kontakt mit Bewohnern und haben interessante Ort gesehen. Die Gastgeber sind herzlich und sie haben viel zu erzählen über die Geschichichte des Nordens. Es war der Höhepunkt unserer Reise im Norden.
