Absolutely loved my stay at The Hosteller Chikmagalur! It’s tucked away in a peaceful coffee estate, making it the perfect escape to relax and recharge. The property is clean and well-kept, with comfy rooms and chill common areas that are great for socializing or just kicking back. Big shoutout to the amazing staff who made the stay even better. Shyam at the front desk was super helpful and welcoming from the moment I arrived—always patient with questions and great at organizing anything we needed. Manager Manu was friendly and approachable, and really made sure everyone felt at home. He’s clearly passionate about creating a good vibe for guests. Also, props to Kaushik from housekeeping—the rooms and bathrooms were spotless every day, and he always greeted us with a smile. The café serves simple vegetarian and egg-based meals, and the bonfire nights were a nice way to meet other travelers. It’s a little remote, so having your own vehicle is useful—but the peaceful setting makes up for that. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Chikmagalur. Great energy, beautiful surroundings, and a team that genuinely cares. Would 100% stay here again!

I initially planned to stay at this hostel for just two days, but the warmth and hospitality here didn't allow me to leave—I ended up extending to five days. From the moment I arrived, the vibe was like so tranquil! The hostel is nestled inside a beautiful coffee estate, where the air smells like fresh beans and black pepper vines climb the trees around you. Waking up and taking a stroll through the estate feels unreal. And then there’s the sunset—absolutely mind-blowing. Watching the sun dip behind the silver aok trees of the hill, painting the sky in insane colors is something you just can't miss. If you’re looking for a place that’s more than just a stay—where you feel at home, meet amazing people, and soak in nature at its best then this is it. I came for two days and left after five, but honestly, I could’ve stayed forever. Great experience. Ride from mangalore to hostel is very pleasant with lush green fields and forest all around. Hostel common area has book shelf as hostel it's a very good thing to keep. This the life of hostel with very peaceful vibes and all thanks to our host, shyam & stelin for making our stay very pleasant and sharing lots of stories .Views from the hostel is very amazing and its a great property to be at during winters. Do make sure to have your own rented vehicle as the hostel is approx 10-12kms away from town with no utilities at walking distance. You can also rent a vehicle from the hostel. Food is vegetarian and good in taste.

The team helped me explore Mullayanagiri and gave great tips for Z Point sunrise trek. The plantation walk was peaceful, and the bonfire nights felt like a family gathering. They also booked transport for Belur and Halebidu temples. Couldn’t have asked for more!
