Hotel Balneario la Hermida

I stayed in this hotel one night ago with the expectation of staying in a four star hotel as rated in your *********** listing. The location of the hotel is spectacular with scenic views of the mountains. The building itself is lovely and spending time in the spa area was also very relaxing. The hotel is rated as a four star and their prices are a reflection of that rating. However, this hotel is hardly a three star mainly because of the rundown state of the furnishings and lack of cleanliness in the room and spa area. In the room there was a broken frame and visibly damaged table. In the bathroom there was a broken glass shelf and there was grime in every bottom corner of the bath and shower. Some of the large glass panes in the spa were clean while others were encrusted with deposits to the point that you could not see through them and made them look grimy and dirty. I don't believe that this hotel in its current state should be rated any higher than 2.5 or 3 stars and the hotel prices should also be adjusted to such reality. Not doing so would be a misrepresentation of this hotel to patrons that make a booking at this hotel. I informed the receptionist about all of this and even left my email hoping that the manager would contact me immediately. I was disappointed that they didn't.

This hotel is awful. Overpriced for what you get. The hotel has an "Overlook Hotel" atmosphere. The rooms have an extremely strange smell. The rooms have very old worn down ugly furniture, the bathroom is in poor condition as some of the tiles are cracked and moldy, and don't look very clean. The rooms do not have a bathtub. Flies routinely land on your food and the food is that is available is not worthwhile, or appetizing. The staff is not very hospitable and you can't even get an espresso, when you take into account that this is Spain, an espresso is the type of coffee that is routinely served everywhere. The only thing the hotel has going for it is the scenery, which faces beautiful mountains. That said I expected Jack Nicholson to come out any minute with an ax. If you want to use the "spa" which is basically a jaccuzzi, you must make an an appointment. Even that is not available past 6:00 PM, which completely defeats the purpose if you decide to go out hiking and just want a warm soak after you get back. Spend your money elsewhere.

Nuestra experiencia fue buena pero es un sitio extremadamente caro para lo que ofrece. Fuimos una noche con desayuno incluido, circuito de spa y allí mismo reservamos también las piscinas del exterior que son 30pp. Lo de las piscinas del exterior 1h30mins 30pp, es CARÍSIMO, el sitio es bonito y si vas, no vas a no verlo y vivir la experiencia y por eso mismo es tan caro, porque considero que si no somos todos , si la mayoría de los que vamos, lo cogemos. Si es cierto que había bastante gente pero al tener bastantes piscinas en un espacio abierto y separadas, tampoco fue agobiante. Lo que sí fue incómodo fue tener que ir por la calle para llegar hasta la entrada del hotel mojados y con el frío que hace. El Spa del hotel está bien, bastante completo, pero el aforo debería de reducirse, un spa debe de ser para relajarse y ahí había muchísima gente, relajarse era bastante difícil. Por otra parte, deberían de controlar la entrada de menores al spa, entre burbujas nos salió un niño buceando con gafas… no creo que un spa sea lugar para ello. Los padres estaban relajándose mientras sus dos hijos se dedicaban a bucear para encontrar figuritas que habían ido sumergiendo en el agua, digno de piscina de polideportivo me pareció eso. Las habitaciones son bastante viejas, necesitarían una reforma, aunque las camas y las almohadas eran muy cómodas y el descanso entre esa comodidad y el silencio de la zona fue agradable. El desayuno del hotel fue de 10, lo que más nos gustó, ya que dispone tanto de buffet como de una pequeña carta en la que se puede elegir diferentes platos que te los preparan al momento y te los llevan a la mesa.

El balneario nos transportó en un viaje de paz y tranquilidad. Las únicas pegas que le podría sacar es la cantidad de gente que meten por sesión en la zona del spa y las instalaciones de agua. En la habitación era muy difícil lograr una temperatura de agua agradable ya que pasaba de fría a hirviendo. Lo bueno es la ubicación en las montañas, el desayuno completo, la comida es bastante buena, pero sobre todo lo mejor del hotel es la señora de la limpieza. Una señora mexicana que nos alegro la mañana con su humor y su carisma, de verdad el mundo necesita más personas como esa mujer.

Visita al Balneario de la Hermida para hacer el circuito termal exterior, las vistas y la experiencia genial. No hay ningún sitio comparable. Como negativo alquilamos los albornoces por 6 € y tenían manchas de óxido y un roto grande, esto no es correcto. También el agua de las duchas del vestuario sale frío y no hay champú ni gel, con el precio podían ponerlo.

Hemos estado comiendo y todo muy normal. La comida, el servicio, el ambiente en mi opinión no tiene nada destacable para un hotel de 4 estrellas. El disfrute del entorno queda colapsado dada las obras en la carretera de acceso hasta este restaurante/balneario.
