The Madrona Leaf Lodge is a cozy home for enjoying the truly tranquil surroundings this place has to offer. Located on the coast between Port Angeles and Sequim, you have easy and convenient access to the Olympic Mountains, National Parks, and local attractions. If you choose to stay close to home, you have a private trail with beach access, about a 5 min hike along the creek to a lagoon, where the creek meets the Strait of Juan de Fuca. If you stay indoors, you have many amenities including WiFi, cable TV, washer/dryer, kitchen dishes and utensils. It is equipped with everything you will need to stay for a weekend or even for a month at a time. It has clean, late model appliances including a glass top range and a dishwasher and all of the cooking utensils, cookware, dishes and glassware that you will need to fully enjoy your meals. You will want to barbecue outdoors on the grill and share your meals on the porch watching the sunsets and the wildlife that is all around. The cozy, comfortable couch is perfect for relaxing indoors and enjoying the T.V. and stereo or just reading a good book. The quality front loading laundry set is there for your convenience and the bathroom offers a bathtub and shower combination. The queen size bed and the double beds will accommodate six people comfortably. You will share our private beach trail with our other guests at Hunters' Gate Homes. It is a gated, five minute hike with some large steps which are not easily navigated by small children or inexperienced hikers. Once down to the bottom you will be rewarded with a beautiful beach where the fresh creek water forms a lagoon that spills out into the salt water Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can walk and beach comb to the Dungeness Spit or head in a westerly direction toward Port Angeles. The quaint little neighborhood store, Agnew Grocery & Feed, is only a five minute drive away, offering fresh local produce and a large selection of wine and other refreshments besides the basic grocery items. Sunny Farms Country Store is only ten minutes away where you'll find a larger variety of items including a deli and a fresh fish and meat market. There are four restaurants all within a ten minute drive which are all highly recommended. If you want to venture further away, both Sequim and Port Angeles each only a twenty minute drive offer many more choices for shopping and dining. The start of the road up to Hurricane Ridge and the Olympic National Park is a short twenty minute drive.
