Awful. Went for a wedding and was disgusted with our room. Cracked draughty windows covered in mold, cobwebs around the bathroom, limescale and mildew in the shower and the shower head holder held together with a cable tie. Broken tiles throughout the tiny bathroom. Dirty carpet and dirt on the sheets and dirty doors. Door handles didn’t look like they had ever been cleaned and even had an electric socket that wasn’t just crooked and dirty but also missing the screws so was loose and unsafe.

We were fortunate enough to have our daughter’s wedding here. The bridal party stayed in the garden apartment the night before, and the staff were so attentive, absolutely nothing was too much trouble. We were served with pizza, salads, cookies, brownies and there was Prosecco chilling in the fridge. Our make up artist and hair dresser came the following morning and there was ample room for them to get us ready. Breakfast was brought to the apartment and it was stunning, accompanied by Buck’s Fizz. We were informed of the day’s itinerary so we felt fully prepared for everything. The wedding service was lovely, a local firm dressed the venue and it was beautiful. The canapés, wedding breakfast and evening buffet were of a really high standard. A few of the evening guests commented it was the best buffet they had ever seen. After sleeping in the well equipped bedrooms we were served with a full English breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. Every single member of the whole wedding party had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this venue to anybody thinking of having their wedding there.

Thank you to everyone at Sparth House for making our wedding so special, from the planning by Emma and team, to the staff on the day everyone was fantastic and so personal and professional. All of our guests keep saying that it was the best food they have had at a wedding and we agree, it was amazing. The cleanliness of the whole venue, the stunning rooms, the breakfast for all of our guests just perfect, we both work in hospitality and could not fault a single thing.
