Overall excellent location but the room does not have any air conditioning so would be great for winter but probably not during summer

文句のつけようがない。 空調は調整できないが、とても快適だった。 扇風機や予備のライトもあり、椅子やテーブルも十分だった。 Frühビールというブランドとコラボ(？)しているため、一階にはそれ関連のギフトショップがあったり、部屋もそれの宣伝の看板的なものがあったり、隣に飲み屋があったりと立地がとても良かった。

立地、設備など申し分ないのですが、ドイツのホテルには珍しく、朝食に加熱した料理が出されます。それなのに周辺の同立地のホテルよりリーズナブルで、申し分ありません。

Lovely styled hotel, with good modern rooms and really friendly staff. They were helpful on arrival despite our works booking agent making a mistake with payment. The rooms were modern, spacious and clean. The lobby area is small but well kept and there is a luggage store for your final day post checkout. Location is excellent for sightseeing and the Koelnmesse exhibition hall which is a 30 minute walk or 10 minute taxi ride away. In terms of the 3 star rating - the hotel is right next to building works which are VERY noisy. This might have been bearable if you could have the windows shut but the absence of aircon means it’s a choice between being kept awake by heat or noise. The works started about 6am and the rooms on the front are directly facing this work.

The good - The location of the hotel is great -- a short walk from the train station, within a stone's through of the Cathedral, and within walking distance of most places to visit. The Single Room with a Balcony was a nice size. Despite the absence of air-conditioning, it was comfortable through my stay. The staff at the front desk, were very pleasant, and always happy to help. The could be better - The options at the breakfast were limited, and items weren't replenished very often.

TLDR: Loud noise close to our rooms, late at night and early morning, which they said was that they were cleaning the kitchen and there was nothing they could do. Medium breakfast, no lobby, choose something else if you are for the exhibition. We stayed for an exhibition amd had 4 rooms for 5 nights. Every night at 23:00-01:00 and every morning from 5:00 there were loud noises from the upper floor. Noises like reconstruction is being made. Furniture deagging, something like drilling, items dropping etc. The first night we didnt do anything cause we thought it was an one time thing. The second night when it started again i called the reception and confronted them about it. Their first answer was to file a complaint in the morning. When i asked if they were gonna check what this noise was, he said “it must be the kitchen stuff who are cleaning the kitchen. Please make be patient and in half an hour it will end”. I told him to tell them to be quiet. In the morning we still heard them. The next day i told it to the reception. Their reply was the same, that it must have been the kirchen stuff cleaning on the night, and the morning shift seeting the breakfast. I told them that i ve never seen a hotel doing this stuff this loud on these hours. They said that there was nothing they could do as it s an old building. I told them to switch rooms and they said that i could inly do it on the morning until 11:00am. When i told them that we had the exhibition in the morning and to do that it would require for us to get up much earlier, still they said they couldnt do anything. So we had to endure the noise every day at the night and early at the morning. Their breakfast is not anything great, they dont have a lobby or a bar to sit and wait, so the only good thing is the distance from the station. But there are other hotels that have that, so especially if you are for the exhibition, stay somewhere else if you want to sleep.

I stayed for three nights for the Christmas Market and Shops, which are all right next to the Hotel. Lovely traditional Brauhaus Restaurant next door, and plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Lovely location, happy, friendly and helpful Receptionists and Staff. Very comfortable, quiet room Bed and pillows really comfy. Slept very well. Got kettle sent to my room to make hot drinks. They sent it straight up. Would stay again. Thank you all at the Eden.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. I really liked it - the room was spacious and very clean, and it had everything you'd need and expect. The buffet breakfast was lovely. The location is amazing - right in the city centre and a short walk from the cathedral and main railway station. The night reception staff were also massively helpful - we accidentally left a mobile phone in the back of the taxi that had dropped us off; as my German is patchy (to say the least!) the reception staff were brilliant in speaking to the taxi driver and arranging his quick return to the hotel to drop the phone back. I think this is a great hotel and would fully recommend it.

Excellent location right in the heart of the Old Town with a small view of the Cathedral.Very modern and presentable with a good choice of food at breakfast.Most Old Town entertainment all within a hundred metres walk.Friendly staff.Only problem is that the whole area seems to have become a large building site although this did not impact our short visit.

I don't have enough words to describe how amazing my stay at Eden Fruh am Dom was. It has a perfect location right beside the central station and the cathedral. There is a handful of bars and restaurants within walking distance as well. The triple room was quite big, super clean and well equipped. The breakfast was amazing with a great variety of food. And the service (here I highlight the front desk) was by far the best I've seen at any hotel in Europe. We felt welcome in every single moment and everybody at the front desk was always helpful with a smile on their faces. I wish every hotel had the same structure and staff like this!

Stayed for a few days in mid-December to visit Cologne and its Christmas Markets. In terms of location relative to the train station, the Dom, the Christmas Market, shopping and restaurants you can't beat it. Cost is average. The attached beer hall was great and had wonderful food and service, highly recommend the pork hock. The hotel breakfast buffet was very good with a wide range of choices. The downside, between the pedestrian traffic, construction and the Christmas Market do not expect to get any sleep. Things shut down about 2:30am and construction starts about 7:00am and the hotel is far from sound-proof. The rooms in the older part of the hotel are in desperate need of renovation, bathroom was very small. Parts of the hotel have been modernized and the rooms there while small, are in much better shape. Depending on your tolerance its a viable option in Cologne.

We arrived after dark in Cologne to board our Christmas Markets cruise the next day. We were pleasantly surprised to see how close we were to everything—the Christmas Markets, the cathedral, and the river. And the Früh Brauhaus was just around the corner. The room was clean and comfortable. We would choose it again.
