This place is fantastic, I really cannot rate it highly enough. We decided to take a trip to Asturias as we had been told that it was a beautiful part of Spain. We wanted a relaxing week with our two teenage children so we decided to pick a hotel that looked like a quality place to relax. We were not disappointed. First of all, the building and rooms are spotless and well designed. It has a modern look with a stylish elegance, and easy access to all the amenities including the restaurant, bar, outdoor pool, and spa areas. The rooms are large will a well equipped en-suite bathroom. Our bathroom was enormous and featured a bath, walk-in shower, toilet and bidet, a twin sink area and an extra chest of drawers for added storage. There was also a well stocked fridge, a separate seating area, coffee machine and also the desk at which I’m now sitting while writing this review. There is free WiFi provided through out the hotel which is certainly fast enough for streaming movies from if you should want. Although we never tried it, there are also in room services such as breakfast in bed or drinks delivered to your room. The breakfasts are some of the best I’ve seen in Spain. We’ve stayed in other places were the continental breakfast can be a little poor on choice, but this place has it all. There’s a range of fresh fruit, cereals, meats, cheese, bread and cakes that you’d expect as well as tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a menu of hot dishes cooked fresh from the kitchen, some of which are free but others, including an excellent Eggs Benedict, come with an additional 4 euro charge. The spa room offers a range of treatments and there is also a heated indoor pool area which also has a steam room, sauna, hot-tub, heat treatments and a variety of shower treatments that squirt water in all directions! My one tiny gripe is that access to this area comes at an additional cost of 18 euros per person per hour, but the standard of facilities is worth it. Finally, I’d like to say that by far the most amazing thing about the hotel is the staff. They cannot do enough for you and they are always courteous and friendly. They have been tremendously helpful in suggesting places to go, or activities to do in an area of Spain that has still to embrace tourism. I get the impression that English visitors are not a common thing in this area of Spain. Most of the staff spoke some English, with a few members that were able to speak it fluently. We check out in a day or so from now and we will really miss this place. It has made the trip a real luxury holiday for us.
